Yesterday we had another fantastic day at PAWS in the Park, Camden.

PAWS Pet Therapy holds a stall at PAWS in the Park every year, and it is always a great day. There were hundreds of dogs of every shape, size and personality imaginable — from tiny pocket rockets to giant gentle souls, and everything in between!

A huge thank you to John, Nadine, Pam, Gary, David, Megan and Isabella for giving up their time to run the stall, chat with visitors, hand out information and spread the word about PAWS. We couldn't do these events without our amazing staff and volunteers.

And the good news is... we are receiving plenty of enquiries from people interested in joining the PAWS family as new volunteer teams, which is absolutely fantastic!

Thank you to Camden Council for continuing to run such a wonderful community event each year. We always love being part of it!

Yesterday was International Nurses Day.

Celebrated each year on May 12, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth, International Nurses Day recognises the compassion, professionalism and dedication nurses bring to healthcare every single day.

This year’s theme is:
“Our Nurses. Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Lives.”

At PAWS Pet Therapy, we are privileged to regularly support the incredible nurses working across hundreds of facilities, caring for patients and communities with skill, kindness and heart.

Today, PAWS dogs Rusty, Coco Chanel, Bailey and Bowie visited the nurses at Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick — sharing smiles, comfort and a few much-needed cuddles with nurses, patients and families.

To all nurses — thank you for everything you do.

Dog mums carry treats, poo bags, and enough fur to knit a second dog.

Happy World Donkey Day!

Today we celebrate these gentle, intelligent, hardworking animals who bring comfort, companionship, and plenty of personality wherever they go.

Whether working, supporting wellbeing programs, or simply making us smile with a big “hee-haw”, donkeys truly are special creatures.

Fun World Donkey Day Facts
• There are an estimated 50 million donkeys worldwide
• Donkeys help transport water, food, and supplies in many communities
• They are increasingly used in therapy and wellbeing programs because of their calm and gentle personalities
• Donkeys can form deep emotional bonds with humans and other animals
• Their famous “hee-haw” is one of the loudest calls in the animal world!
..I think we need a donkey on the PAWS team!
