🌟 What are Key Word Signs? 🌟
Key Word Signs (KWS) are simple gestures used alongside speech to support communication. They highlight the most important words in a sentence, making it easier for children or individuals with language delays to understand and be understood.

💡 Why Use Key Word Signs?
* Supports language comprehension and expression
* Reduces frustration by giving another way to communicate
* Encourages social interaction and participation

3 Key Word Signs to Start With:
1. More – to indicate wanting something again
2. Help – to ask for support or assistance
3. Finished – to show that an activity or task is done

✅ Using KWS consistently can boost communication, confidence, and independence!

A language delay is when a child’s language skills develop more slowly than expected. This might look like:

🔹 Not using gestures or signs to communicate

💡 The good news is, with the right support, children with language delays can make wonderful progress! Speech pathologists can provide strategies, activities, and resources to help children build their communication skills.
