The weather is helping so much with healing my nervous system. Which sort of got a little bit burnt out affecting just about every organ cell and system in the body.

I worked on Annie as below, then walked her out in small circles left right and straightness. She is moving really well. Shifting her weight and moving in alignment . So good to see this, as mostly I see the issues loudly.
So loved her wide stance she took after the chest elbow work šŸ’•

And I feel better seeing changes in my horses from what I’ve learnt.
Here’s
Annie my gorgeous 17 yr old TB mare.
šŸ•ŠCollapsed pelvis, from going through the race prep as a baby.
šŸ•Š Scare tissue in both sides of her chest, left vertical, right horizontal. That was a mess when she did it.
Annie is tightly muscled through the neck and shoulders relieving her back of weight.
šŸ•ŠThis morning i used my oil blend to relax the area around the Tuber Sacrale, Annie’s are touching. I do gentle moments around the pelvis using all bony points with the intention of increasing movement.
Red light over the area.
šŸ•Š Oil blend on the chest and soft tissue movements Also.
She could then lift her front
Legs to do some trimming. And rest her hinds so I could access her hinds.

Treating Annie is always and ongoing which she works with, I get lots of smooches which are my fav šŸ•ŠšŸ’•šŸ¾

We are having the most beautiful weather so warm and sunny. But not so good for the horses, the green grass, the warmth, I noticed going back a few years how this messes with the horses cycles they should be resting now. But they are very active especially when you have 1 very handsome boy and another very pretty boy. The girls a sneak out to Oswin the pretty one and the noises and squirting starts. Remy runs over skids in-between to take back his girl.
But health wise this will affect them, their behaviour and tenderness under saddle. So be vigilant , call you vet for assessment.

Remi & Oswin.

Yesterday was a write off for me , lucky though today I felt ok so out with Soulice and Wally before it disappears.
Poppy is 10 and has lived the life of a much loved pet. Hasn’t had much gear on just sporadically.
Rules I have for myself , which are many is to not start or introduce anything new without one of my other horses around, usually their best mate.
So with Wally for emotional support, I layed the saddle pad and roller on Poppy, she wasn’t tied to any thing.
I thought today I would introduce a whole body feel, this is using a TTouch wrap. Poppy stands allows all this just watching. She tends to drift off . Now that could be shutting the feel out or processing it. She is use to me not rushing and allowing each step to be acknowledged by her .
I raised the energy a little to get some momentum, we walked together, volte’s soft zig zags. So she could feel the connections left and right.
She wouldn’t walk in her own, so I stayed with her. Introduced a bit of a game chasing Fergus and her stride length improved. And after a square stop we had some jaw movement. Which is a good sign for Poppy .
We stopped loosened girth, cavesson immediately all at liberty, so it’s not a big deal.

Oils today. Was a blend for hot spots , itchy skin. Smells great too.

This morning was day 2 of another set of starting Soulice/ Poppy for riding.
I have noticed things habits actions, about myself due to active observation.
1, is doing 1 thing at a time, near impossible but not good especially when working with a horse.
Poppy had roller and saddle pad on yesterday, she has has the on spasmodically over the past 7 years.
Today I put the sheepskin pad, different girth, and I am aware of keeping changes to one at a time. She was great , just listening to me and eating her hay.

She suddenly went to the gate and asked to go out looking unsure.
So what changed? Me I was feeling her semi’s from her tail to hocks.
In my head I was ensuring she wasn’t tensing, but I caused it as the saddle pad was the new thing, I needed to see that through with her, not lose focus.
We went for a walk , square corners and a much improved poppy with balance and controlling her shoulders.
She is a beautiful soul this girl šŸ•ŠšŸ¾šŸ•Š

Be careful this is not what you are actually doing to your horse when someone teaches you or you read about desensitising a horse.
Animals including humans do not become desensitized by being traumatized by your worst nightmare. The nervous system is damaged as self-regulation has become overwhelmed.
Horse need to know they are safe any you their guardian are educated to understand how to do this according to The horse, not some human. Please do not do this to your horse. There is no beneficial point to it.

An interesting article I found by Thomas Ritter on how classical dressage was competion dressage early last century and why it’s important for classical trained students to get out competing. I was looking for something else šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļøšŸ•Š

Ā  BY DR. THOMAS RITTER People often ask whether classical dressage can be successful in competitions, or whether you have to sell out and sacrifice the horse’s well-being and the principles of classical dressage in order to be successful in competitions. There are several different issues involve...

Yesterday I turned 65 , it’s been on my mind forever. I’m still trying to align myself to this number in my mind I seem to always be in the 70,s and 80’s never left šŸ˜‚šŸ’•
Thank you to all my FB friends who wished me happy birthday xx to all.
The present I received was still having my beautiful Adoure still here with me. Lucky I have been practicing gratitude so I can see how amazing this is as she is so unwell. And I really have had a few hard years again now I’m getting better Adoure is leaving. Always seems so I dare but she stayed for yesterday so yes I spent yesterday and today feeding her carrots and syringing purĆ©e into her mouth so she has some lining on her stomach. Though she is on omniprozal as well.

Here we are today eating all the carrots on a very beautiful August day as the sun sets perfect life

Adoure was a little flat this morning wanted to eat. Which is pretty much only Lucerne hay but she couldn’t do it. I made her up an oils blend to soothe her emotions and come into the present.
In a base of magnesium I added the essential oils of Blue Tansy, Ylang Yang, 2 of my favourites, myhrr and frankincense with an equal amount of h**p seed oil.
I applied very gently Along her ventral line from the sternum right through to behind her bo***es . I cleaned the b***y area with the oils which she never would allow me to do. Along her spine and down each side under the lumber.
It was soothing for both of us. When I finished she turned around and looked into the shed so I brought her out some fresh Lucerne which she munched down. Nearly half a biscuit. This was a relief.
Here’s my baby this morning afterwards .
