Burnout can feel overwhelming. If you are feeling exhausted, disconnected or unmotivated .. it’s important to slow down and take care of yourself.

Talk to someone you trust, rest, go for a walk, create art or curl up with a good book.

Taking time to replenish yourself is not a luxury - its essential.

Emotional intelligence means being aware of your feelings and understanding, managing and expressing them in healthy ways.

When we develop our emotional intelligence, we communicate more clearly, handle stress better and build more supportive relationships, both at work and in our personal lives.

Emotional intelligence isn’t just about emotions, it’s a life skill that transforms how we connect, cope and lead.

Stress doesn’t just live in your head. It creeps into your muscles, your sleep, your heartbeat. Stress can show up as tension, fatigue, headaches and restless nights. It speaks through a racing heart, a tight chest or an uneasy gut. Even when your mind is trying to manage quietly your body can speak loudly. Chronic stress can wear you down over time, that’s why it’s so important to stop, take a breath and listen to what your body is telling you. 🧠♥

The early days of parenting can be joyful, but also challenging, exhausting, and isolating. For many families, extra support is the key to building confidence and wellbeing.

During Infant Mental Health Awareness Week 2025, we want to highlight Melbourne Postpartum Services, a trusted local provider offering tailored care to new parents experiencing postpartum challenges.

Whether it’s help with baby settling, emotional support, or practical guidance, their team is here to walk alongside families through this important transition.

At Pakari, we know that strong, supported parents create strong, secure children. If you or someone you know needs help, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Its Men’s Health Week and we are focusing on mate-ship, connection and belonging.

Research shows that men with strong social connections live longer, healthier lives. Without those bonds, health outcomes can decline, mentally and physically.

At Pakari, we believe that connection is care and there is an important connection between generations. This week, men, we encourage you to reconnect with old mates or reach out to someone younger or isolated and be intentional about building those connections.

Together, this builds resilience in each other and our communities.

Remember, men often talk shoulder to shoulder or side by side during shared activity’s. A walk, a task or a chat over coffee. That’s when the real conversations happen.

So, invite someone in. Ask for help. Share a story. Be that mate.

This photo was taken during Jason’s second round of chemotherapy, smiling, courageous and full of the quiet determination that continues to inspire all of us.

At Easter, Jason was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer, we are incredibly grateful for the wonderful medical team supporting Jason. He is responding well to the treatment and so positive throughout this journey.

To focus fully on his health, Jason has stepped back from his role at Pakari. Brianna has taken the lead in guiding the organisation forward with Jasons heart remaining at the centre of everything we do. We are so proud of the team who continue to support Jason and Bri while carrying Pakari's mission forward during this time.

We are deeply thankful for the love, encouragement, and support we have received. Your messages, prayers and kindness mean more than words can express and serve as a powerful reminder of the community we belong to and the values that ground all our work.
