A special moment at Ferndale Gardens, resident Graham was presented with a framed letter from the Chief Commissioner of Victoria Police, Mike Bush, in recognition of more than 35 years of dedicated volunteer service with Neighbourhood Watch Victoria. He was joined by his wife Gwen, children David and Trish, family members, and Neighbourhood Watch representatives for this wonderful occasion.

Since beginning with Neighbourhood Watch in 1990, Graham has played an important role in supporting community safety, writing newsletters, leading local teams, organising events, and working closely with schools and police. His work has helped keep residents informed, connected, and safe.

A humble man who never seeks the spotlight, Graham is a true role model whose commitment to serving others continues to inspire.

Taking advantage of the beautiful day, nothing was going to stop them from getting their hands in the soil and sharing stories of time spent in the garden, some until the late evening, with the end result being such a delight.

Residents and staff at Ferndale Gardens recently celebrated a special moment as resident Beverley was presented with her Life Story by Ruth, a biographer from “Beyond Words”.
After expressing her wish to capture her memories, Beverley was referred to the Beyond Words program by Ferndale Gardens Lifestyle Coordinator, Sherilyn. From there, Ruth visited weekly listening, recording stories, and carefully weaving together Beverley’s memories, photos, poetry, and treasured mementos.
The result? A heartfelt, personalised Life Story that celebrates Beverley’s journey, in her own words.
A big thank you to Ruth and the Beyond Words team for helping bring Beverley’s story to life. And congratulations, Beverley—you’ve created something truly special.

A huge thank you to the amazing Lifestyle team for the stunning table decorations, to the dedicated staff for their care and kindness, and to the talented chef and team for the mouthwatering festive feast.
