Happy New Year everyone,

I hope this message finds you well.

With a heavy heart, I need to let you know that I have made the difficult decision to close my clinic in Upper Beaconsfield while I continue focusing on my recovery following my car accident.

Unfortunately, I am no longer able to maintain the ongoing costs of the clinic during this time. I know some of you are still holding vouchers, and I absolutely do not expect you to continue waiting given the uncertainty around my capacity to return to practice. I am more than happy to arrange refunds, as previously mentioned — please feel free to contact me directly to organise this.

I sincerely apologise for the time you have spent waiting and for any inconvenience this may cause. Your patience and support have meant more to me than I can express.

While I don’t feel comfortable recommending another remedial therapist without personal experience, the one practitioner locally whom I deeply respect and have personally received treatment from is Dr Louis Cali, acupuncturist in Berwick. If you would like his details, I am very happy to pass them on.

Just a quick update for everyone…

Today I completed my first aid and Monday I am having some minor surgery. That’s 2 more steps toward being back at work. It’s so close now! I’m so excited! I can’t wait to see you all and be back doing what I love to do. You have all been so patient and supportive. Thank you so much for giving me such great motivation. I look forward to my gradual return and seeing you all again.

Thanks to the beautiful Deanne, I will be working from a room at Body Garage shop 3/ 27-29 Beaconsfield-Emerald Rd, 3808 Upper Beaconsfield. I’m so excited!

My name is Pia, I recently moved to Upper Beaconsfield with my beautiful little family, and we absolutely love it!
I am an accredited Massage Therapist dedicated to promote well-being, whether you need help with chronic pain or anxiety etc. my goal is to make a difference.
I was first introduced to the study of anatomy and physiology when I was training to become a dance teacher in Denmark 2008. I find it super fascinating, and this passion has lead me to study and work within the massage industry in Denmark, then Australia for 14 years. I can’t see myself doing anything else, I love my job!

I offer Remedial, Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Pregnancy, Oncology and several other modalities including Myofascial release, trigger point therapy and Muscle energy technique.
My massage is all about the person in front of me, no one is the same, I believe balance and a customised treatment is essential!

Hi everyone. I know that you all must have a lot of questions…

I have a couple of exciting pieces of news.

Firstly, I am looking at returning to work shortly. This process will be a slow and gradual reintroduction somewhere around mid-late July . I need to be mindful not to take on too much as I continue my work with the amazing team of professionals at the Epworth rehabilitation hospital. I know I am going to find it difficult because I miss you all so much and I can’t wait to get back.

This brings me to my second piece of exciting news…
Another remedial therapist will be joining us at Body Garage. Her name is Pia and she will be start this Monday working out of room 3. Pia is a very happy, positive and passionate person and I will post her bio after this by way of introduction.

Thank you so much for all of your messages of support and encouragement over what has been a very challenging time. You have helped me to stay positive and determined in my continued rehab journey and I look forward to seeing you all soon.

Hi everyone. It’s Dee here this time. I just wanted to say a really big thankyou to everyone for all your beautiful messages of support since I had the accident. It has really helped me to stay determined in my rehab. I’m hopeful of a paced return to my work early in the new year but I just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a safe happy new year. Please be careful on the roads. Drive safe and I look forward to seeing you all again as soon as my rehabilitation allows.

**Dee update **

I know you have all been eagerly awaiting some news on Dee’s return after her accident.

The good news is Dee is now being supported at the Concussion Clinic Epworth, and will be well looked after.

The not so good news is she’s nowhere near ready to return to work.

Unfortunately Dee is part of the 15-20% that can have ongoing concussion symptoms that are caused by a disruption to the autonomic nervous system and a disruption to the balance system from her head injury and it will be a slow return to work supported by the concussion clinic.

She will be back doing the work she loves - it’s just going to take longer than expected

Thank you to all of you for supporting her, with messages and gifts. She truely appreciates it.

I will post updates as they occur but she will be away until at least the end of November at this stage.

As some of you may be aware Dee was in a car accident last week and is suffering from concussion and muscle injuries so is unable to work.

If you have an upcoming appointment please standby for a message to reschedule.

Concussion is a moving target it could take a short time or a long time so if you could please be patient.

This page will be monitored by admin until she is back so if you can hold off on your messages until she is back that would be helpful. Any urgent messages I will pass on.
