The 2 Japanese Gyutos have been pre-sold already, one with an awesome dyed maple burl handle, the other with a nice rich deep timber and a custom saya from Red Gum.
Also, got my new workshop safety shoes today so had to break them in

This was a special one. When I first started knifemaking, I had bought pre made blanks and put handles on them.one of those early ones I had made and told my daughter that it was hers for when she moved out. Well many years later that time had arrived and that original knife was horrible and I couldn't let that be my gift. So instead I made this sleek beauty. Stainless steel blade for ease of use and maintenance for them. A very different design from my usually heavily Japanese influenced style of knife. I wanted it to have flow to it still so I have it a bit of a drop point for aesthetics, full flat grind, and the contoured handle had to be designed so that big and small hands would find it comfortable.
I hope this treats you and well for the next 20 years.

So it looks like my woodworking skills are still okay 🤣🤣🤣 bashed out a Saya for my 10 inch Gyuto, made from some beautiful Jarrah with a Pigeon wood pin for dark contrast.
Sayas will now be offered as an optional extra for all knife orders. Please let me know if you wish to have one made with your next custom order.
