One way of measuring progress in the countries of our world is by the level of their human and animal rights.

In the nineteenth and twentieth centuries many people in certain countries started to campaign. Then as these countries progressed, so did their human rights, and even some animal rights too.

This is positive, but remember that Shakyamuni Buddha spoke of not only the need for the same highest level of rights for both humans and animals, but also the need for the same highest level of rights for all sentient beings without exception - and he said this 2500 years ago!

Never forget that all sentient beings want happiness, and not one of them wants to suffer.

I feel so grateful and honoured that my article on ‘Reiki in Clinical Settings’ has been published in Reiki Australia, Australia’s leading Association for Reiki practitioners.

The more information out there about Reiki and its use and acceptance around the world in hospitals and other clinical settings, the more we will continue to see it embraced locally.

This article shows the growing acceptance of Reiki in clinical settings, with over 900 hospitals and hospices around the world offering Reiki and delves into the hundreds of studies showing the efficacy of Reiki.

I wrote this when I was having surgery during lockdown and couldn’t find a hospital that provided in-house Reiki. Australian clinical settings are a bit slower on the uptake, but I have hope that this will continue to change.

Water stores information. No force can prevent the cyclic nature of society through evolution. External and internal forces may speed up or slow down the cycle, but no one can stop it from evolving.

In science, evolution is said to be either inevitable or accidental. Inevitable evolution is a form of adaptation, while accidental evolution is the result of the action of something larger. Either way, evolution cannot be stopped.
