As communities continue to recover from the recent fires, BSHS is encouraging anyone struggling to reach out for help.

BSHS Social Worker, Sonia Pacey, noted the emotional and psychological impact of fires often extends far beyond the immediate physical damage. From a social work lens, fires like the Skipton event often trigger intense feelings of loss, not just homes and belongings, but loss of normalcy, safety and routine. These reactions may surface immediately or weeks and months later. Recovery isnโ€™t linear. Good days and bad days are normal.
