We have been getting lots of calls for people suffering with Dehydration over the last few days here are a few tips to help prevent dehydration in hot weather, you can drink plenty of fluids, especially water, and avoid drinks that dehydrate you. You can also eat foods with high water content and avoid heavy protein foods.
Drink plenty of fluids
Drink 2–3 liters of water a day, even if you don't feel thirsty
Drink water regularly, such as every hour
Carry a water bottle with you
Drink sports drinks to maintain electrolyte balance
If you're breastfeeding, offer extra breast milk to babies
Avoid drinks that dehydrate you
Limit alcohol, soft drinks, tea, and coffee
Avoid ice-cold drinks and sugary beverages
Stay safe and look out for friends and family, try to avoid the Emergency Department

Slip on: Sun protective clothing
Slop on: Water resistant, broad spectrum, SPF50+ sunscreen
Slap on: A broad-brimmed hat
Seek shade: Especially when the UV index is 3 or higher
Slide on: Wraparound sunglasses
