👋 Meet the Team Friday - Dr Muhammad Cheema!

Dr Cheema brings over a decade of experience in medicine, offering patients a well-rounded and thoughtful approach to care. Known for his calm and understanding nature, he creates a comfortable environment where patients feel heard and supported.

After graduating from the University of Health Sciences in Pakistan, Dr Cheema further expanded his experience through research at a paediatric hospital in Philadelphia, giving him a strong and diverse clinical background.

With a focus on chronic disease management, preventative health, men’s health, health assessments, and minor procedures, Dr Cheema is passionate about helping patients stay on top of their health and preventing issues before they arise.
Dr Cheema is currently accepting new patients and generally works Monday to Friday.

👋 Meet the Team Friday -Dr Maham Atif!

We’re excited to welcome Dr Maham as newest doctor to the Darlington Medical Centre team!

Dr Maham is a dedicated GP who completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Health Sciences, Pakistan. She has spent the past six years working within the Australian healthcare system, gaining valuable experience across a range of specialties.

Her previous roles include positions at Flinders Medical Centre, Mount Gambier Hospital, and Noarlunga Hospital, before transitioning into General Practice.
Dr Maham is passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centred care, supporting her patients through all stages of life with a warm and approachable manner.

With special interests in Chronic disease management, Women’s health, Paediatrics, Preventative health, Minor procedures, including biopsies and iron infusions.

Dr Maham is currently accepting new patients and works part-time, including Sundays, making it easier to fit healthcare into your schedule.

FluMist is a needle-free nasal spray influenza vaccine that contains a safe, weakened form of the flu virus to help build immunity. It is approved in Australia for children aged 2 to 17 years.

How long does it last?
Provides protection for up to 12 months.

What is the cost?
• FREE for children aged 2, 3, and 4 years
• Children aged 5–17 years: available for a private fee of $55
• GP consultation remains bulk billed

🤧 2026 FLU VACCINES HAVE ARRIVED!

Flu season is approaching - Protect yourself and your loved ones.

Free vaccines are available for:
• Children aged 6 months – 5 years
• Adults 65 years and older
• Pregnant women
• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 6 months and over
• People with certain chronic medical conditions (e.g., heart disease, diabetes, lung conditions, immunocompromised)

If you do not meet the above criteria, the flu vaccine is available for a private fee of $25. The Doctor’s consultation remains bulk-billed.

👋 Meet the Team Friday - Dr Revan Mendis!

Dr Revan has been part of the Darlington Medical Centre team since 2021, and in that time has built a strong following with patients who value his thoughtful, thorough approach to care.

With special interests in weight management, paediatrics, cardiology, chronic disease management, and family medicine, Dr Revan takes a well-rounded approach to supporting his patients’ long-term health.

He completed his Doctor of Medicine at Flinders University, after first obtaining a degree in Biomedical Science in Melbourne—bringing both strong clinical knowledge and a holistic perspective to his practice.

Due to high demand, Dr Revan is currently not taking on new patients, as he remains committed to providing quality care to his existing patient base, however immediate family members of existing patients may be considered.

We’re proud to share that our very own Dr Aliya has featured in an educational video as part of the Pakistani Medical Association of South Australia - PMASA Ramadan Health Series.

In this episode, Dr Aliya discusses Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and highlights important considerations for women’s health during Ramadan.
This is a fantastic initiative supporting community education and empowering women with knowledge about their health during this important time.
