Hello my friends, as I spend more time with my family, I'd like to inform you I am no longer taking new clients at Ocean Blue Physiotherapy. However, I have a clinic in Madeley that I will continue to work part-time. You will be able find avaliable appointments there.

Time passes when you are having fun. Soon we will be welcoming our little baby. I will be on maternity leave very soon. I am not taking on new patients at the moment but will formulate a plan for those that are seeing me now.

Just a little update on our opening hours.

Our evening clinic is closed, but I have opened some slots on Wednesday afternoons. I aim to be flexible as much as possible, so if there are dates and times you can only do that aren't listed, let me know and I can see what I can work around for you.

Common hand injuries we see include:

Thermoplastic splints are used when we need to temporarily immobilise a joint from moving to help its tendons, bones or ligaments to recover. These are made with a mouldable plastic, adjusted to fit you perfectly.

Since they are custom-made, they are often more comfortable and convenient to wear. With the added benefit of being waterproof, they can be worn in the shower, while swimming or even scuba-diving! (Given your condition allows you to.)

Best way to keep your knees happy is to use them. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃

✨️Loading appropriately helps strengthen the muscles around the knee joint and keep it strong.

✨️Good supportive shoes also help distributing load on the knee.

✨️If you have pain in the knee, assess what caused it, you may need to rest and take it easy for a few days. Reassess and gently get back to your routine.
