The aliveness of Spirit 🕯️
Recently I journeyed with .hub in their Luminary transmission/stage show ~ all about our connection with ancestry ✨
Spirit let herself be known throughout the stage shows…
It was the second night. After the show I was being called to sit by the altar rather than be in the lobby with the audience.
I sat and asked my ancestors - what would you like me to know, to remember?
‘Be in your community. Lead. Just be in your life. You have been gifted such a wondrous life. Live it with your heart and hands. That is how you can honour us.’
The next morning, in the unofficial yet intentional community I live in, the dear dog Luna had caught and killed a Kangaroo! honoured and processed this animal, and I got to be apart of it.
Death was alive that morning…
I checked my phone afterwards and had several missed calls from my family. In an instant I knew, my grandfather, Pa, had passed away.
In that moment sadness, grief, awe, wonder came over me all at once.
My 101 year old Pa decided to leave this earthly realm right in the middle of the stage shows, where the story was all about ANCESTRY.
He lived such a difficult life, for so many reasons I could share….living through a century that endured the Great Depression and war, one in which he fought in.
Despite the difficulties, he lived a simple and fulfilling life of working with his hands, building the family home, raising family and mentoring many through the sport of Golf. There’s even a book written about him!

His passing gifted me the deep knowing within that I need to and I must continue to step into my life. It would be a disservice not to show up courageously.
To see my blessings.
To build my inner strength.
To honour my life by living it.
Thank you Pa, for the transmission of wisdom that comes through with your life story and the way in which you held yourself. Honouring the humility, integrity and humour that emanated from you and forever will.
As he would say…
‘You get out of life what you put in’
And I’m willing to give this one my all, one step at a time, in honour of those who came before and those yet to come.
