It was very special to catch up with this wonderful group of yogis at the convention. They’ve been joining me online in the lead up to my assessment to practise twice a week! Living in a rural area, where I’m quite isolated from other Iyengar practitioners, their commitment to be there was a game changer in my preparation. We practised, we workshopped various poses, we laughed at ourselves and they critiqued my teaching and gave feedback….week after week after week. So grateful for their generosity and support. In case you’re wondering…..I passed 🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️

An amazing weekend shared with an inspiring and committed group of yogis from around Australia. So grateful for the heartfelt sharing of wisdom and guidance from the senior teachers involved.
It’s such an incredibly courageous act to step up for assessment and the experience is invaluable regardless of the outcome.

In our busy lives it is no small thing to commit to a regular yoga practice and coming together to meet regularly with a group of like minded individuals builds a beautiful community where special things can happen.

We finished Term three with the September Intensive and the Pranayama Workshop…..and many really special and beautiful moments were shared. I am always inspired by the openhearted willingness to move beyond perceived boundaries that students show up with when we work in these more concentrated settings, it is such a privilege to be a part of this very meaningful work.

Thanks to all those who joined and trusted me to guide you over the weekend.

Iyengar Yoga Classes recommence next week….

Term Four is just around the corner and with the weather warming up and the days getting longer it’s the perfect time to get back onto your yoga mat.

Yoga is not a theoretical pursuit, although there is much literature on yoga philosophy, it is ultimately an experiential pathway to a deeper understanding of yourself which changes your way of being in the world in many unexpected ways. It’s a life enhancing practice that can meet you wherever you are like a loyal friend, always there in support of your life journey.
