The holidays are full of fun, festivities and often overindulgence, making it hard to stay healthy.

Here are easy tips to help you enjoy the festive season while feeling your best:

Healthy Eating:
Balance treats with veggies, lean proteins, and whole grains.
Don’t stress about a little indulgence—one meal won’t hurt your health.
Eat slowly and listen to when your body says it’s full.

Smart Spending:
Set a budget for gifts, food, and fun.
Try DIY gifts or a Secret Santa to save money.
Shop early to find deals and avoid overspending.

Stay Active:
Fit in short walks or workouts when you can.
Make movement fun—dance, play games, or walk with family.
Stay hydrated and get plenty of rest.

🌟 National Diabetes Week 2024: Towards a Future Without Harm from Diabetes 🌟

At Qualitas Medical Practice, we envision a future where diabetes causes no harm. It's crucial for those living with diabetes to access life-saving technology and medical support.

🔍 Understanding Diabetes

Diabetes affects over 2 million Australians. There are three main types:
Type 1: Autoimmune, not lifestyle-related.
Type 2: Often linked to genetics, lifestyle, and obesity.
Gestational: Occurs during pregnancy, increasing the risk of type 2 diabetes later in life.

🩺 Key Symptoms: Excessive thirst, frequent urination, fatigue, blurry vision, slow-healing wounds.

📊 Managing Diabetes
Access to proper care and regular GP check-ups are essential. Many Australians miss critical health checks, leading to complications.

Let's work together to ensure everyone gets the support they need. Talk to your GP today!
