Self Reflection

It is a powerful skill to have. To be able to deep dive into your self. Your ego. Your wounds. Your light.
To understand why you are the way you are and to how your behaviour affects your world around is truly powerful skill...and can sometimes feel like a curse.
I have been on my own self development journey for the better part of a decade, and while it has opened my heart and my mind in ways that have been truly magical it it has also been hard as f*ck!!
That is why I now do what I do. To help and guide woman back to themselves. To provide a loving, safe and open space to work through all the bullsh*t that the world has projected on us and for her to find her own individual light and meaning again.
It is an honour and privilege, and one I dont take lightly. If you are feeling the pull andinterested in dipping your toes into the water ( or maybe even just jumping feet first), reach out and we can have a chat.

If you want to be a bad ass s*xually empowered woman, embrace your inner hag.

Thats right.

The crone. The ancient old woman. The witch. The hag.

The crone archetype is an aspect of the feminine not exactly associated with s*xuality.

Women groom themselves to be girls. The younger the better.

Paint those lips red and blush those cheeks like you are wet and ripe for impregnation.
Make them believe you are in perpetual ovulation.
Make them hard. Make them desire you
Get that face lift. Suck in that belly. Bat those lashes.

Guess what.

The crone doesn't give a f**k.

And that is her power.

She embraces her spider lines and swinging, sagginesss.
After all, this is what life does to the body of a woman...eventually!

Does that make you uncomfortable? Would you rather not see?
Her secret threatens to corrupt you.

She can make you wild.
She can reveal to you your power.
Your volcanic senseless holy

Once she opens her mouth, the jig is up.
They tell you she is crazy.
Dangerous because she has broken out of that jail cell you call restrictions.
How would you have s*x if you didn't give a f**k about how pretty you look?
Or how flat your stomach is?

The crone is not an object of desire.
She is free to claim her own desire.
In a world that praises women for being objects of desire.
Where the more lust you can seduce the more value you possess, the crone is laughing with that cackle that only women of power have.

She does not possess the enchanting beauty of the maiden or the fertile reproductive juices of the mother.
She no longer bleeds. She no longer bears children.
Her s*x no longer waxes and wanes with the moon, gaining and draining energy with each passing tide.

She is full.
The portal to her blood has been sealed.
She is drinking in the nectar. She is bathing in its luminous darkness.
Her s*x is a diamond pressed and polished by years of experience and wisdom.
She has passed through all the phases of initiation as a woman.

That heavy web of social conditions all feminine creatures are baptized into.
She is unraveling herself from these webs.
She has liberated her s*x from all their stories.
She is making it to the other side.
Freeing herself.
Without the ability to be a mother or a s*x object, what is left of a woman and her s*x?

I’ll tell you what.

Pure power that doesn't give a f**k.
Crazy wisdom that knows how to make love to the moment.
S*x that ripples through every authentic cell of your body.
S*x that pulses with every tiny whisper of life knowing life.

If you want to find the seat of your s*xual power.
Your real deep sovereign s*xual nature.
Find the crone that lives in you.
Wild. Ugly. Innocent. Real.

I struggle –BIG TIME- with it too.
But it truly is freeing
You really learn who your people are

My word for 2022…
Connection
End of year ‘resolutions’ have never worked for me.
Lists.
Stringent ‘Tick all the boxes’ plans
Progress ‘check ins’.
None of these have ever served me well.
In fact all they did was overwhelm me and make me feel like a failure.
So now every year, instead of my ‘lists’ and my ‘goals’ I choose a word…or the word chooses me.
This one has been showing up a lot in the last 6months…it just took me some time to understand what she was saying.
A overarching feeling of how my year will be.
How I connect.
Why
When and with whom
I’ve always been quick to try and bond with everyone…I am not what you would call a ‘small talk’ kind of person. And that has lead to connecting and letting people in who did not deserve the right.
But it’s not just about the connection to the people around me.
It’s also about connecting with myself. Who I am deep down in the shadows.
Who I was before I lost myself to the labels of mother, wife, small business owner, and on and on…
Connect once again with the things that set my soul on fire.
Reconnecting with my body, listening (REALLY listening) and honouring what she is telling me.

The excitement is palpable in our house.
Excitement for the Big Red Guy but also for some well earned time off with family and friends.
From our family to yours, we hope you have a happy Christmas filled with joy, love and all the other wonderful moments that make this human experience so damn good!

STORIES

Today I made a commitment to start Yoga again

A commitment to start listening to my body again
To centre myself every morning
To carve out the alone/me time I have been so desperately needed.

See, the reason I haven’t done these things is because of the STORIES I tell myself.

‘There’s too much to do’
‘If I don’t do it (housework/meal prep/shopping)no one will’
‘The kids will interrupt me, what’s the point?’
‘I’ve left it too long, I won’t be able to do it’
‘ Running is a better work out. You’ll burn more calories’

Now, I’m not saying some of these things aren’t true. But why am I letting them become more important than my well being?
These things don’t just happen while I passively sit there without any control. I get to write MY STORIES….or more to the point rewrite them in my own head

There’s only so much to do because I have made it that way. If I want a simpler life, I can choose that

People/my husband/my children will help me. Because they love me. I just need to communicate my needs and expectations.

My girls will see me looking after myself. They will see mummy doing something; that initially she finds hard…but keeps going because she has committed to herself. And teach them it is ok…even important for them to look after themselves as they grow in woman.

And running? Well I just don’t like it. And I don’t care how many ‘calories I burn’ I don’t want to torture my body. I want to love it.

Introduction time!
I have noticed quite a few new faces around here…so I thought I would I would give you a little snippet of what make me, me. 🌻 Music nerd
It is what gets me through. It’a what makes the happy moments more joyful and makes the darker moment easier to bear. I have a lot of random ‘musical did you knows’ ready to bust out at any given moment. I love all genres, but my favourite is 70’s soft rock.

✨My favourite place in the world is New Orleans specifically the French quarter. I have been lucky enough to visit after being called to it for most of my life. It is know for the partying, bright lights and excess. But I find exhilarating beautiful, and impossibly addictive. The history, the people, the food…The energy I feel there is like nothing else in the world.

💛I believe that Connection heals the world. Many of us have not only lost connection with each other but with ourselves and who we are. My passion is to provide a safe, welcoming, and inviting space for everyone to relearn the joy of connection. Photo Credit

Well Queensland, here we go again. 3 day lockdown. Uncertainty and restriction breeds anxiety and frustration..and there is no lack of that out in the streets at the moment. Just please don’t lose sight of the fact that we’re all in this together. Be patient with each other, practise mindfulness with your words and above all else…be kind 💖
