So I was doing some Romanian deadlifts from the rack the other day, and it got me thinking…
We usually stick to that same steady tempo up and down, right?
But when you mix it up, the whole lift feels different.
Slowing the way down really loads the hammies.
Powering up fast builds that explosive strength.
And going quick down, slow up? Amazing for time under tension and glute activation.
Honestly, changing tempo is one of the easiest ways to get more out of your deadlifts — without adding any extra weight.
If you want to learn how to tweak your tempo, improve your technique, or get stronger with confidence, come train with me. I’d love to help you level up your lifting.
