A special message from Ronnie Williams family.

Hi everyone, this is Ronnie’s Daughter Peata. As most know Ronnie suffered a major stroke 4 weeks ago. I’m sorry if I haven’t had a chance to contact you individually. She is doing well, making progress but has a long way to go. Unfortunately the type of stroke she had has affected her speech and communication, she can’t reply to msg or texts etc at this time. Thank you so much to everyone for your well wishes, and supporting our family. Peata Snell

Having a PEG doesn’t necessarily mean giving up eating and drinking straight away, many people continue to enjoy food and drinks by mouth for as long as swallowing remains safe and comfortable.

Today we as a team did something very special for a very special family remembering our Support Services 2 You Super Star! and Cafe Beyond maintenance guru Bobby (Brendan) O’Brien who sadly passed away in May 25, we miss Bobby terribly and we now have this beautiful bench where we can pause and remember Bobby who is missed dearly by his family, friends and work colleagues. Bobby’s Bench a Place to Remember - feel free to come and sit and reflect on this beautiful hand made bench on the front verandah (facing the road) at Cafe Beyond

Big news for the Bega valley 🎉 Far South Film has been shortlisted as a 2026 Createability Host Organisation!

The Createability Internship Program offers paid, accessible placements for creatives with disability or who are d/Deaf to gain hands-on experience with leading arts, screen and music organisations across NSW, and this year, that could include right here in the Bega Valley!

We’re thrilled to share that intern applications are now open for the 2026 Createability Internship Program. 💫

Creatives with disability or who are d/Deaf can now apply for paid, flexible internships at leading screen organisations in NSW, including ABC Australia Far South Film Festival, Bus Stop Films, SBS Australia and Endemol Shine Australia. The program is delivered by Screen NSW, Create NSW and Sound NSW, in partnership with Accessible Arts.

Interns will gain hands-on experience in areas such as production assistance, script development, commissioning and more, building valuable skills and pathways to long-term careers in the creative industries.
