BURNOUT... what does it feel like physically, emotionally, mentally, energetically...? Depletion, exhaustion, persistent fatigue. Reduced motivation, productivity, and efficiency. Disengagement, detachment, feeling overwhelmed. Inadequate levels and quality of sleep. Headaches, muscle tension, digestive issues… Burnout is real, and many people are experiencing this. Occupational burnout, parental burnout... Burnout is more than just feeling tired, it is a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion caused by prolonged stress. If the signs and symptoms are ignored and begin to compile and compound along with the many roles, responsibilities and demands of life, these signs could lead to long-term health consequences.
How does massage fit into this picture? By receiving therapeutic massage focusing on the combination of relaxation, connection and unwinding those tight spots or areas of pain and discomfort where we hold our tension, stress and worries we could start doing great things for ourselves.
*Boot circulation and energy levels
*Enhance and support our emotional well-being
*Improve our length and quality of sleep
*Ease those places of pain, tension, and discomfort
*Reduce our stress hormones
*Reconnect with ourselves by becoming still and quiet in a safe calm space
*Tend to our nervous system by slowing everything down and shift into the rest and digest phase
*Within ourselves, move from existing in a state of fragmentation to feeling revitalized, centred, and grounded
