Ananda Yoga Belgrave A bright and spacious yoga studio + events space in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges in Belgrave. Our classes range in temperature from 22 - 28 degrees.

Our spacious light filled studio is a sweet 2 min walk from Belgrave station on Belgrave main street. Our friendly, professional staff will help you develop and deepen your practice and awaken your best self. The studio also hosts an array of transformational workshops and dance classes. Our diverse timetable has been designed to offer you a variety of yoga styles to suit all levels, allowing you to find the class that best suits you and your lifestyle.​

At Ananda we use infrared heating panels to increase the benefit of your yoga practice, by penetrating deep into your working muscles to give your body an increased range of movement as you progress through your class. Hatha practice slows things down, provides guidance for physical alignment, intentional movement and mindful breath.

In today's fast-paced world, many of us are overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, and uncertainty about the future. It often feels like there's no time to pause, take a breath, and gain a fresh perspective.

This is where meditation can be transformative. By practicing meditation, we cultivate a sense of awareness—a state of being where we step back from the constant chatter of the mind, intense emotions and reactivity that come with daily life. Within this awareness lies profound peace and freedom.

In this course, you will explore various meditation techniques designed to help you experience deep meditation and establish a meaningful, lasting practice. Meditating in a group setting also provides unique strength and support, enhancing the journey for each participant.

Yin Yoga
We will hold relaxing poses in a passive way for up to five minutes. These longer holds create softness and flow in the muscles, fascia, and energy meridians, while inviting a meditative state and deeper self-awareness.

Acupuncture
During a restful pose (savasana), four very fine, sterile needles will be gently inserted at points chosen to enhance calm and balance. The needles will be retained for 20–30 minutes. Acupuncture is known for its calming and regulating effects on the nervous system.

Sound Immersion
A variety of sound healing instruments will be used, including crystal singing bowls, shamanic drumming, koshi chimes, voice, rattles, and soft lullabies—supporting deep relaxation and integration.

At the end of the session, tea and a grounding nibble will be offered to help ease the transition back into the rest of your day.

Indulge in a deeply soothing experience of vibrational therapy including astrological insights, sound healing, guided meditation, crystals and essential oils.

Ami's sessions are carefully tailored to the unique energy of the moment and the collective needs of the group, ensuring a profound impact on your overall well-being.

We will set an intention which will be amplified by the use of crystals and essential oils, we will create awareness as we will talk about the current cosmic process using astrology.

Then we will go into a sacred journey using a guided meditation, vocal harmonics, crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, chimes, gongs, drum and air instruments, all combined into an harmonising healing journey.

An evening to slow down, drop beneath the noise of the mind, and reconnect with your body as a place of safety, stability, and inner support.

This evening gently explores the lower chakras — the energetic foundations associated with grounding, security, and steadiness.

When these centres are nourished, the nervous system can settle, the breath softens, and clarity naturally begins to return.

Jasmin has been a friendly face around Ananda for many years - learn more about her🙏

✨ Jasmin's Teaching Style
Jasmin loves to teach creative classes that synchronize breath with movement, guiding your awareness inward to create a beautiful flow state in body and mind. Her classes are designed to strengthen and balance the body, bring calmness to mind and emotions, and most importantly, deepen the loving relationship you have with yourself.

✨Do you have any pre-class rituals?
I always arrive early to center myself and usually come prepared with a class plan these days. I like to cleanse the space with some incense or white sage mist, say a silent prayer of gratitude and take some deep cleansing breaths before teaching.

✨What is inspiring your teaching style in this season of your life?
Creativity. I love keeping my classes seamlessly flowing with fresh new ways of linking postures together while keeping some familiar repetition for the comfort and security that brings. I like students to feel like they're in a moving meditation with constant connection to the breath.

✨Your favorite pranayama and why?
Definitely dirga pranayama (3 part breathing). This pranayama is accessible and comfortable for most people and is a beautiful way to lengthen and deepen the breath, bringing calm and inner presence.

We’re so grateful for Jasmin’s flexible and well-rounded teaching style. You’ll find her leading Gentle Flow on Thursdays at 7:45pm between our 6-week Beginners Series, and she consistently offers her time and energy to cover classes when the studio needs support. From Hatha, Vinyasa to Yin Jasmin's personal practice and consistency shine through in her teachings.

Gentle Flow with Jasmin will be back from 23rd of March💜
