Ananda Yoga Belgrave A bright and spacious yoga studio + events space in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges in Belgrave. Our classes range in temperature from 22 - 28 degrees.

Our spacious light filled studio is a sweet 2 min walk from Belgrave station on Belgrave main street. Our friendly, professional staff will help you develop and deepen your practice and awaken your best self. The studio also hosts an array of transformational workshops and dance classes. Our diverse timetable has been designed to offer you a variety of yoga styles to suit all levels, allowing you

to find the class that best suits you and your lifestyle.​

At Ananda we use infrared heating panels to increase the benefit of your yoga practice, by penetrating deep into your working muscles to give your body an increased range of movement as you progress through your class. Move Within is a guided experience that weaves together cacao, somatic embodiment, intuitive dance, conscious breathwork, and meditation.
This journey is an invitation to slow down, soften, release stored tension, and reconnect with your authentic self in a supportive and soulful environment.

Whether you are new to embodiment practices or already on your path, this experience offers a safe container to explore movement, breath, and connection at your own pace.

✨ What to Expect ✨

Cacao on Arrival
We begin with a warm cup of cacao to ground, open the heart, and gently transition into the space.

Guided Somatic Embodiment
A facilitated body-based exploration to awaken awareness, deepen presence, and connect with the room, the music, and yourself.

Intuitive Dance Journey – 60 minutes
A free-form movement experience to express, release, and drop out of the mind into the wisdom of the body.

Conscious Breathwork – 30 minutes
A guided breath practice to expand energy, clear emotional residue, and access deeper states of awareness.

Meditation & Inner Child Integration
We close with a soft meditation to anchor the experience and reconnect with your inner child through gentleness and presence.

Explore the foundational movements and transitions of Surya A Namaskar. This traditional sequence forms the basis of many vinyasa flow classes, yet our familiarity and repetition of these movements often allows us to skip over the more subtle details.

In this 90 minute workshop, we will dive into the nuances of alignment to encourage fluid movement and prevent injury, activate supporting muscle structures to create stable and safe transitions, and explore ways to build strength and integrity in your practice.

Dearest Yoginis & Yogis 💜Thank you for your understanding and patience during our unpredicted closure today.

We know this is the second recent flooding incident and they are just as annoying, inconvenient and frustrating for you as they are for us!

We hope you can find it in you to practice the yogic principle of Vairagya - non-attachment and non-judgemental awareness of the flow of life - while we navigate the flow of flood waters.

To thank you for you dedication and special drying the floors dance! And gratitude to Jodie for her endless patience and problem solving in these wacky circumstances and those in our community who showed support and concern.

We will be opening tomorrow, but please be aware there may still be some minor damp spots around the couch and tea table.

In today's fast-paced world, many of us are overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, and uncertainty about the future. It often feels like there's no time to pause, take a breath, and gain a fresh perspective.

This is where meditation can be transformative. By practicing meditation, we cultivate a sense of awareness—a state of being where we step back from the constant chatter of the mind, intense emotions and reactivity that come with daily life. Within this awareness lies profound peace and freedom.

In this course, you will explore various meditation techniques designed to help you experience deep meditation and establish a meaningful, lasting practice. Meditating in a group setting also provides unique strength and support, enhancing the journey for each participant.

Yin Yoga
We will hold relaxing poses in a passive way for up to five minutes. These longer holds create softness and flow in the muscles, fascia, and energy meridians, while inviting a meditative state and deeper self-awareness.

Acupuncture
During a restful pose (savasana), four very fine, sterile needles will be gently inserted at points chosen to enhance calm and balance. The needles will be retained for 20–30 minutes. Acupuncture is known for its calming and regulating effects on the nervous system.

Sound Immersion
A variety of sound healing instruments will be used, including crystal singing bowls, shamanic drumming, koshi chimes, voice, rattles, and soft lullabies—supporting deep relaxation and integration.

At the end of the session, tea and a grounding nibble will be offered to help ease the transition back into the rest of your day.
