Feedback from our last Ashram Yoga Retreat involved a resounding request for more time practicing Seva, in the yogic context this refers to selfless service.

To be honest we were surprised! We weren't sure folks would want to engage in labour whilst in such a relaxing and restful location. Yet yet everyone rose to meet the practice of Seva with enthusiasm and even a sense of contentment, no matter the task offered to them.

From weeding the garden, picking up kangaroo poo for the compost, to helping prepare and serve meals many commented on the quiet sense of fullfillment their tasks offered and the joy in being about to support the swamis and residents of

Seva offers us the chance to gift our time, energy or skills with no expectation of personal gain or recognition. As a spiritual practice Seva can unfold as an expression of bhakti or humility.

Sound Awakening: Return to Stillness is a ceremonial sound journey designed to gently guide you out of the noise of daily life and back into the quiet, grounded presence of your body and breath.

Through the ancient medicine of sound, we create a spacious and nurturing field where the nervous system can soften, the mind can settle, and the body can return to its natural rhythm.

This immersive experience will be guided by:
• Tibetan singing bowls, offering rich, grounding harmonic vibrations
• A Sun Gong and a Nepalese Gong, whose expansive tones wash through the body and energetic field
• Gentle percussive sounds and drumming, supporting grounding, integration, and inner listening

Come as you are.
Leave feeling restored, attuned, and gently awakened.

A huge part of our intention behind our Ashram Retreat is to create a yoga retreat that is accessible. The idea of a relaxing yoga retreat in a tropical location is dreamy, but not affordable for all.

With this in mind our Ashram Yoga Retreat is all inclusive and local. However we hear those in our community feeling hesitant after christmas expenses - so we have extended the early bird discount on this retreat until 16th Feb✨

We hope you'll join us for this weekend to ease into the wholesome and soothing aspects of Ashram life and experience a chance to deepen your yoga practice beyond brief studio classes.

March 6th - 9th
Includes accommodation, vegetarian meals, traditional fire ceremony, mantra, kirtan, yoga practice and forest therapy.

Shared room $660
Private room w ensuite $990

We look forward to practicing and sharing in the tranquility of with you

Find out something new about Jessie 💜

✨Jessie's Teaching Style
Jessie's holistic classes weave a tapestry of pranayama, kriya and asana, focused on cultivating prana and recognition of the subtle energetic aspects of our yoga practice. Her love for embodied dance, Himalayan Kriya and tantrik philosophy creates a container for spontaneity, inner inquiry and Self exploration.

✨ A glimpse into Jessie's practice
💜Do you have any pre-class rituals?
Consecration. This is a ritual I practice before and within my classes. It is a practice of releasing attachments to the outcomes of our actions on the mat, an opening to something beyond the intellect, beyond the ordinary and aligning with the ultimate goal of our yoga practice - whether you call it the divine, source energy, liberation or freedom.

💜Your favourite yoga adjustment to receive
It's certainly not your typical adjustment for a standard yoga class! But I love a good hamstring and glute massage in Uttansana (standing forward fold). Find me at the studio if you want to try something outlandish.

💜 Your favourite pranyama and why
3-part yogic breath - Dirga pranayama. This is an integral part of my morning practice, helping me awaken my lung capacity and spread awareness down and into the body.

Jessie is our studio manager, helping with everything from admin to caring for our plants and tech issues. You'll find her teaching Saturday at 9:30 am Vinyasa, and for the next couple of weeks also on Mondays 6pm for Vinyasa and 7:30 pm Flow to Yin.

If you're keen on Jessie's kriya practices, or any of the yogic philosophy, traditional ritual and mantra you explore on the mat, have a look at our Ashram Yoga Retreat. Over the March long weekend Jessie and Jodie will be sharing some special practices interwoven with traditional Ashram life. We'd love to have you🙏

The opportunity to bask in the soothing and uplifting sounds of the harp is rare! So we are excited to welcome Vasudha for an evening at Ananda to Rest with the Harp.

Multi instrumentalist and vocalist Vasudha Harte is a harp therapist, music therapist, music teacher, sound healing facilitator and yoga teacher who has explored the healing power of yoga, music, sound and silence for over 30 years.

She has a beautiful quality of presence and we hope you will take the opportunity to surrender into a blissful journey towards a more peaceful state with her harp and restorative yoga.
