Cup Size & Breast Implants

In this video, Dr Eddy Dona explains why breast implant decisions should focus on achieving your desired aesthetic result—not choosing an implant based on bra cup size.

Cup size is unreliable for surgical planning because:
• It's based on bra fitting—the difference between the measurement under the bust & across the fullest part of the breast.
• It doesn't directly correlate to implant volume or actual breast size.
• Cup sizing varies across brands, styles & countries.

At Dr Dona’s practice, everything starts with understanding your goals—how you want your breasts to look in terms of size, shape & proportion.

Implants are selected to match that vision, factoring in your unique anatomy, skin & chest dimensions.

Keep in mind: true bra cup size isn’t known until around 6 weeks post-surgery, once your breasts have healed and can be properly fitted.
