Why Acupunture?
I never much believed in Acupuncture, probably because I didnt understand it. I gave it a try for the first time after I had spent a week in a Jamaican hospital with a mystery illness. I never found out what the medical diagnosis was but when I came back to Australia, receiving acupuncture for the first time was life changing. I had no idea you could feel this good and healthy! I returned for my second treatment feeling amazing and asking a million questions. My acupuncturist answered my questions with amazing clarity. He flowed so fluently from Western to Chinese Medicine and gave me a deep understanding of my body and myself. That was what got me hooked. The learning, the understanding and having the knowledge and the words to empower people to better know their bodies. This deep understanding of your body comes from a combination of understanding both the environment and your daily life and how it affects you personally. This includes seasons, foods, exercise, moods and emotions and how they affect you from the outside in, and the inside out. I love Acupuncture with a fiery passion. And I love imparting that knowledge and passion to other people. I cant wait to begin my career here in Tasmania and continue learning and growing as a person and as a professional.
