Is Your Nervous System on Edge for No Clear Reason?
It might not be “just anxiety.” It might be your Moro reflex—still active since infancy.
The Moro is a baby’s built-in alarm system. Sudden noise? Bright light? The body startles—arms fly out, breath catches, muscles tense. It’s meant to protect us.
✅ We need it at birth.
⛔ But it’s supposed to fade as we grow.
👉 When it doesn’t, the body stays stuck in survival mode.
That can look like:
– Feeling jumpy or constantly “on edge”
– Sensitivity to noise, light, touch, or movement
– Emotional overreactions or sudden meltdowns
– Trouble with transitions or unexpected change
– Difficulty focusing—especially in busy settings
– Sleep issues or chronic muscle tension
– Anxiety that doesn’t always make sense
This isn’t “overreacting.”
It’s the nervous system saying: “I don’t feel safe.”
The good news? Reflexes can be supported to integrate—even later in life.
There’s a reason you feel what you feel.
And there’s a way forward.
