The Rural Doctors Association and Bellingen Shire doctors confirm that the Mid North Coast Local Health District has suggested closing the ED overnight, but the hospital says it's "completely false".

To ensure a virus free environment and enable our doctors to continue their care during the Covid19 pandemic our reception staff are triaging all our patients. If you have any cold and flu like symptoms, have been in contact with a Covid19 case or visited a Covid19 hotspots recently you will be offered a phone appointment. Face to face appointment will only be available to patients who do not fit into any of the above categories. Patients are asked to wait in their car rather then the waiting room. Patients are encouraged to wear a mask (self-supplied is appreciated), sanitise and to comply with social distancing guidelines when coming into the surgery. We thank you for you understanding & encourage you to call 6655 00 00 for clarification.
Covid Testing is available in Bellingen Monday to Friday at 38 Watson Street, Bellingen. This drive through clinic is held between 1pm to 2pm.
