🐨 A Day to Remember at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary! 🌿

At Warm Embrace, it’s all about creating meaningful moments and our recent excursion to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary at Fig Tree Pocket was exactly that! 💚

One of our amazing participants had the opportunity to get up close with Australia’s most iconic wildlife, from cuddly koalas and curious kangaroos to colourful birds and fascinating reptiles. 🐾✨

These outings are more than just a day out they’re about confidence-building, joy, inclusion, and living life to the fullest with the right support. Whether it’s wildlife adventures, creative activities, or relaxed community outings, we tailor our support to each person’s goals and passions.

🌟 Supporting Our Local Heroes: Nourish Street Inc & Northwest Community Group Inc 🌟

We were honoured to drop off another round of donations this week to two amazing community organisations doing life-changing work:

🧡 Nourish Street Inc – Their tireless efforts to provide food, care packs, and support to those in need never go unnoticed.

💙 Northwest Community Group Inc. – Always stepping up for families and individuals doing it tough, with practical help and a heart of gold.

This time, alongside the food, warm items, and essentials, we also included extra items to be raffled off to help raise additional funds and support for their causes. We're proud to stand with them and help however we can.

🎉🎬 Our Free Movie Day Was a Hit! 🍿💙

What an EPIC time we had at Limelight Cinemas Morayfield for our Free Movie Event – Lilo & Stitch on the big screen, popcorn in hand, and so many smiling faces! 🌈✨

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who came along and made the day so special. And an even bigger shoutout to the amazing crew at Limelight Cinemas Morayfield – we see how hard you work behind the scenes and we hope you loved the little thank you gift we left behind for you 🎁❤️ You truly helped bring the magic to life.

Warm Embrace Support Services is excited to offer FREE group community access sessions for local NDIS participants in the Caboolture and Morayfield area!
Join us every Monday & Wednesday from 10am to 2pm, for a fun-filled time of board games, creativity, connection, and laughter – all at no cost to you!
Whether you love rolling dice, painting your masterpiece, or just making new friends – this is for you!

The free sessions are limited to one session per week per participant

🌟 Another Beautiful Donation Delivered to Nourish Street Inc! 🌟

We’re incredibly proud to share that we’ve completed another donation drop-off to the wonderful team at Nourish Street Inc, who do truly life-changing work for those experiencing hardship across Brisbane’s Northside. 💛

This time, with winter well and truly here, we focused on gathering and delivering items that can bring real comfort, warmth, and protection. Our donation included cosy blankets, beanie, scarf and glove sets, emergency ponchos, tarps, and plenty of food to help fill hungry bellies and provide some shelter from the cold and wet nights.

Every single item makes a difference — and we’re so grateful to everyone who has helped make this possible. Your kindness brings hope and dignity to people doing it tough, and together we are building a stronger, more compassionate community.

🌟 CAMPING WEEKEND RECAP! 🏕️🔥

What do you get when you mix one awesome participant, a superstar support worker, a tent, marshmallows, and a long weekend?
➡️ An unforgettable camping adventure! 😄🌲

Our Warm Embrace duo hit the great outdoors for some fresh air, epic campfire cooking, and plenty of laughs. From chasing sunsets to telling stories under the stars, this trip had all the good vibes. 🌅✨

It’s moments like these that remind us why we do what we do — supporting our participants to live boldly, explore freely, and enjoy life’s magic (with a few toasted marshmallows along the way, of course 🍫🔥).

Huge shoutout to the support worker who made this weekend so special — you’re a legend! 💪💚

🌞🐐 Farmyard Fun with Warm Embrace! 🐓🌻
Monday, 14th April – White Ridge Farm Adventure!

What an awesome day we had with our participants at White Ridge Farm! 🐄💛 School holidays just hit a whole new level of wholesome as we fed fuzzy llamas, cuddled cheeky goats, and took a relaxing tractor ride through the farm. 🚜🌿

There were giggles, happy feet in gumboots, and lots of curious little hands exploring everything from baby animals to bouncy hay bales. For some of our participants, this was their very first farm experience — and the joy on their faces said it all. 🌟

A big warm thank you to our amazing team and the families who joined us — your support is what makes days like these possible. Watching friendships bloom and confidence grow in such a playful and peaceful place reminded us why we do what we do. 💕

🌪️ Keeping Our Community Safe During the Cyclone 🌪️

At Warm Embrace Support Services, the safety and well-being of our participants always come first. As the cyclone approached, we made sure every one of our participants was prepared and supported. 💙

Through the storm, we stood by our families, ensuring they had what they needed—not just the essentials, but also comfort and reassurance. For the little ones in our care, we created a safe and fun environment with engaging activities to help distract and entertain them during the worst of the weather. 🎨📚🎲

We’re grateful to have been able to support our community through this time. Here are some moments from the past few days, showing the resilience, care, and togetherness that make Warm Embrace so special. 💕

⚠️ Weather Alert – Stay Safe, Community ⚠️

Dear Warm Embrace Family,

We’re closely monitoring the weather, with forecasts indicating potential landfall late Thursday night or early Friday morning. Our top priority is the safety of our participants, staff, and community.

At this stage, shifts are still going ahead as planned, but this may change depending on weather conditions. We will assess the situation and cancel shifts if needed to ensure everyone’s safety. If any cancellations occur, we will personally contact affected participants and staff.

We encourage everyone to be prepared for possible power outages and take necessary precautions. If you need sandbags to protect your home, you can find local collection points here: https://www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au/Services/Disaster-Management/Sandbags

We understand that these situations can be stressful, but please know you are not alone. If you need assistance or just someone to check in, don’t hesitate to reach out.

🐉 Adventure Awaits with Warm Embrace Support Services! 🎲

Yesterday was an epic day for our Dungeons & Dragons crew! ⚔️✨

It was James and Megan’s first time fighting a dragon – and what a battle it was! With the incredible help of Mia’s Bard, Melody, and a mysteriously moody warlock, they faced the fearsome beast head-on. 🎶🔥 Their rolls were on point, their strategy was solid, and they (barely) survived the encounter! 💪🐲

We also got to debut our new boat prop on the table, which added an extra level of immersion to the adventure. 🚤🌊

These sessions are about more than just the game – they’re about teamwork, creativity, and building lasting friendships. Can’t wait to see what challenges await next week! 🧙‍♀️🎉
