π€ The Crown Chakra π€
The 7th chakra ~
Thought, inspiration, wisdom, divine connection and universal awareness
Associated colour ~ Violet and white ππ€
Location ~ The top of the head
Sahasrara translation ~ Thousand petalled
Element ~ Thought
The 7th and final chakra is positioned at the centre of the top of the head and is said to be the link to divine connection. It represents the unity with the higher self as well as the energy of the universe. When spinning harmoniously, an openess and ability to acknowledge and connect to the meaning beyond the material world is effortless.
It is fitting that the symbol of the crown chakra is the thousand petalled lotus flower, which represents spiritual connection and enlightenment, whatever that means for you, with its it's positioning at the top of the head extending upwards like a crown, beyond the boundaries of the physical body. π
When Sahasrara is blocked or out of balance (either under or over active) there is a disconnect in our inner awareness and spirituality.
~ Symptoms of a blocked or unbalanced crown chakra.
~ Focusing on material world, possessions and things
~ Cynicism, selfishness, and speaking down to others sarcastically
~ Difficulty finding your sense of purpose and meaning
~ A disconnect with your own inner wisdom and connections with others
~ Headaches and migraines
~ Lack of clear thought, brain fog and concentration
~ Insomnia and sleep related problems
~ Difficulty relating to others
~ Being impatient and intolerant
~ Neglect of physical needs
~ Balance issues
~ Light and sound sensitivity
It may seem crazy to know that there is a direct and strong connection between the crown chakra and root chakra, because of the fact that not only are they at opposite ends of the energy system, being the furtherest points away from each other, but that one brings focus to spiritual enlightenment, while the other governs our physical needs.
It seems as though these 2 energy points are polar opposites, so how are they intertwined? The chakra is our grounding to the physical world. It is the root of our basic physical needs and if our needs go unmet it goes without saying , we're unable to put focus into our spirituality and deeper connections. We NEED to be well groundedbefore we can turn attention to the crown chakra. Having a well balanced root chakra will also ensure that our crown won't become over-active
As with all chakra, the use of crystals, foods, essential oils, movement and sound therapy, can aid in harmonising the 7th chakra.

π¦ Crown chakra meditation affirmations π¦
I release doubt. I am fully aware and have a loving, deep and meaningful connection with myself, others and the universe. I go beyond my limited beliefs. I trust in the divine guidance of my higher self. I bask in the wonder of all creation, knowing that I am infinitely a part of that. π€π
