After four years in our beloved clinic, we have found a space we can grow into. From mid June we will be operating from 2/17 Edgar Street, Belmont 🤩

Our new space is
🔹only 400m away from our current offices
🔹close to the lake, park, cafes
🔹close to parking
🔹beautiful and light filled
🔹better equipped to meet the needs of our team and clients

What isn’t changing - our commitment to listening to the needs of our families and supporting empowerment in reaching functional goals.

Chloe has been working with us at FFT for a year now as a Therapy Assistant. We are looking forward to her continuing to support our community in new year as a qualified speech pathologist 🤗

Holiday Break 🌞

Our clinic is taking a break from Saturday 21st of December 2024 and reopening on Thursday the 16th of January 2025.

Our admin phone and email will be monitored over this time but response may be delayed. We hope you have a safe and happy time over the holiday period.

Teacher Time: Q&A with an Occupational Therapist

📢 Are you a teacher or principal interested in bridging the gap between education staff and external therapy providers? We all share a common goal; helping children to feel safe, grow, and thrive in their daily lives. However, understanding each other’s views or capacities can sometimes be challenging. Teacher Time is a dedicated time for you, for free, to answer any questions you may have about occupational therapy, how it works and how we can help.

🕒 Time: 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM, Friday Mornings. All sessions are 1:1 and occur virtually via MS teams.

🌟 Exciting News from Functional Focus Therapy! 🌟

We're thrilled to announce our partnership with Wyong Public School and their "Schools as Community Centres" initiative! Starting in 2025, we'll be working closely with kindergarten classes and the community centre to create inclusive and safe learning environments.

Our team will collaborate with teachers to enhance learning spaces and support individual children alongside their SLSOs, helping them transfer skills from therapy to everyday school life.

But that's not all!! Join us at the SaCC OT Friday playgroup, where we’ll be collaborating with early childhood educators to provide an Early Intervention style Playgroup. We'll be connecting with caregivers to give guidance on interaction styles, share engaging activity ideas, and essential regulation supports. Our goal? To empower families and help children (ages 18 months to 4 years) build strong foundational skills that pave the way for smooth and successful transition to school.

Together, we’re making a positive impact in our community! 💙
