✨How long have you worked at the practice, what is your role and what days do you work?
- I have been apart of the practice since last week, so if you’re popping in I’d love to meet you and say hi 👋
- Optometrist
- Tuesday to Saturday each week
✨ Tell is a bit about yourself
I was born and raised in Whanganui, NZ, and as a true Kiwi I love all things outdoors. I spend a fair bit of time running with friends, swimming in the ocean, learning to surf, hiking, and reading on the beach. I also love dancing with friends, sewing, and going for sunrise walks 🌅
✨ What’s your favourite thing about your job?
I love that everyday is different! As an extrovert, I love meeting new people and being able to help them improve their vision and eye health literacy is so rewarding.
✨ What led you to become an Optometrist?
It took me a little while to figure out I wanted to be an optometrist! Towards the end of my BSc I realised I was interested in healthcare, and weighed up a few different options. Optometry soon thereafter became the front runner, and I haven’t looked back since!
✨ What does your ideal weekend look like?
Oooh I’d say it would start with a sunrise run with my girls followed by a post-run dip in the ocean and Açai bowls. It would also have to include catching party waves with my sister, playing some pool with friends, and dancing at a concert 🎵
✨ If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?
As excited as I am to explore Newcastle, if I could go anywhere I would explore Morocco or Portugal 🌞
✨ What is something you’ve always
wanted to try or learn?
I have always wanted to swim with whale sharks!! What a once in a lifetime opportunity that would be 🤿
