When children can’t access school, the impact can extend beyond missed learning. It can affect family life, finances and parent–child relationships.

At OKAY Therapy, we believe schools and families shouldn’t have to navigate this alone.

By building more inclusive, flexible learning environments and understanding the needs of neurodivergent and trauma-impacted students, more children can feel safe, supported and ready to learn.👌

If your school or family is navigating this right now, we’re here to have the conversation. ➡️ DM us for more info.

Want inclusion support that actually fits your school?

With team members who have worked as teachers, we understand the complexity and competing demands educators navigate each day.

Together, we build practical supports that help students feel settled, included and ready to learn.

If inclusion, wellbeing and neuro-affirming support are part of your school’s focus this year, we’d love to connect.

When family relationships feel stretched, the right support can make a real difference. 🤍

Our Social Worker, Melita currently has a small number of openings to support families.

Melita works alongside children and parents to strengthen connection, build emotional regulation and support safe, secure relationships. Her work often includes play-based therapy, parent coaching, trauma and attachment support, and helping families navigate sibling or parental separation dynamics.

Spots are limited.

If this kind of support could help your family, feel free to reach out for a conversation or submit a referral via the 🔗 link in bio.

👌We are excited to welcome Liv to our team as an Occupational Therapist! 👌

Liv brings a creativity and playfulness to her work as an OT. She particularly enjoys working with younger kids, finding fun and engaging ways to build handwriting skills and helping children experiencing feeding challenges to thrive.

In her spare time, you can find Liv at Pilates, reading a good book, or spending time with family and friends at the beach.

With a growing team, we now have capacity for OT referrals. You’re welcome to reach out for a chat 🔸 or submit a referral through our website (🔗link in bio).

Parenting (and grandparenting) doesn’t have to be done alone.

Sometimes support looks like coffee, real conversation and gentle guidance when you need it.👌

Sarah (our director and OT) and Melita (our social worker) will be there to offer any connection to services or supports, and to enjoy a coffee and chat.

DM us “parent” or “grandparent” to join. Looking forward to seeing you!

Sam and Elle loved connecting with school leaders focused on strengthening emotional regulation and building more inclusive classrooms yesterday at the Malvern Town Hall

Many leaders shared they’re looking for practical ways to better support neurodivergent learners and reduce pressure in busy learning environments.

At OKAY Therapy, we work side-by-side with teachers, providing embedded occupational an speech therapy support within real classroom environments. Through observation, modelling and collaboration, we help schools build practical, sustainable approaches that support executive functioning, social participation and calmer learning spaces.

If your leadership team is looking for in-class support that aligns with your wellbeing and inclusion priorities, we’d welcome a conversation.

This quote reminds us to approach behaviour we don’t understand yet with openness, curiosity and care.

We can do this by asking ourselves reflective questions like:

Is there an unmet need?

Have I missed a communication attempt?

Is there something in the environment that might be impacting them?

At OKAY Therapy, our therapists work to support underlying regulation, relationship, and communication needs that can influence behaviour.

Next time something doesn’t make sense, you could try this reframe:
👉 “What am I missing?”

Save this for the moments that feel hard.
