From Monday 23rd June, Belmont General Practice will no longer operate on Saturday mornings, meaning this Saturday, 21st June 2025 is the final Saturday for appointments at Belmont. Our wonderful GP's will instead consult out of our Morningside General Practice Clinic rooms at the Morningside Plaza, Shop 7-10, 38 Junction Road at Morningside.

Our Doctors are available for bookings on Saturdays at Morningside as normal, however you will need to book through the Morningside clinic HotDoc site (see below) or phone: 3399 4685.

Our opening and closing hours from Monday to Friday will not be changing.

We have received our 2025 supply of the Influenza vaccines.

You qualify for a free public influenza vaccine if you are one or more of the following categories:

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 6 months and over
Children aged 6 months to under 5 years
Pregnant women at any stage of pregnancy
People aged 65 years or over
People aged 6 months or over who have medical conditions that mean they have a higher risk of getting serious disease:
cardiac disease
chronic respiratory conditions
immunocompromising conditions
haematological disorders
chronic metabolic disorder
chronic kidney disease
chronic neurological condition
long term aspirin therapy in children aged 5 to 10 years.

As per the past few years, the Queensland Government will be providing ALL Queensland residents with a valid Medicare card aged 6 months and over with a free flu vaccine.

We do ask all new patients looking for a flu vaccine to please book the New Patient influenza vaccine appointment type or phone Reception to book on: 3399 4685.

Please note that weekend vaccination appointments may not be bulk billed, but the flu vaccine itself remains free of charge.

Belmont General Practice Clinic is closed for the Easter period and reopens as normal on Tuesday, 22nd April.

However, our Morningside General Practice Clinic is open on Easter Saturday and Sunday as per the below hours:

Easter Saturday: 8.30am – 11.30am

Easter Sunday: 9.00am – 1.00pm

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Dr. Jayanthi Ravi has had to take leave urgently and we do apologise for the need to reschedule her patients. Dr. Ravi plans to return to Belmont General Practice Clinic on Thursday, 27th March 2025.

We invite all patients to continue to book with Dr. Marion Lawson or Dr. Andre Michalski-Russell where possible and of course, Morningside General Practice Clinic will be able to accommodate for appointments when needed.

Belmont General Practice Clinic happily welcomes Dr. Andre Michalski-Russell to the clinic. Dr. Andre graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2014, before achieving fellowship with the RACGP in 2019. He moved to Brisbane in 2025, also having worked in WA and NSW. He is currently completing the Master of Medicine (skin cancer) from the University of Queensland.

He is committed to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for patients of all ages and backgrounds and helping his patients live full and healthy lives.

Belmont General Practice Clinic is reopening for patients of Dr. Marion Lawson tomorrow, Wednesday 12th March. Appointments can again be booked via. HotDoc for Marion at Belmont.

Dr. Jayanthi Ravi will continue to consult from our Morningside practice for tomorrow but returns to Belmont for appointments on Thursday, 13th March. For appointments tomorrow with Dr. Ravi, please use the Morningside General Practice Clinic HotDoc selection but for appointments on Thursday onwards, please revert back to the Belmont HotDoc site.

Dr. Stella Panagiotou is away on holidays at the moment and returns to Belmont on Monday, 31st March.
