A key indicator for the onset of Lymphoedema is pitting... at first sign please get yourself in to see a Lymphoedema Therapist. Preventative is always better than reactive.
Lymphoedema can develop quickly or slowly, and early signs are often subtle, but catching them early makes a huge difference.
Here’s what to look for:
🌿 A feeling of heaviness or tightness in a limb
🌿 Swelling that doesn’t go down overnight
🌿 Skin changes, feeling thicker, tighter, or shiny
🌿Flat or deep pitting (hold finger pad down on area for 10 secs)
🌿 Discomfort or aching in the affected area
If any of these sound familiar, it’s important not to ignore them. Lymphoedema is manageable with early care, education, and support.
At the Lymph & Muscle Centre, we understand that it’s not just physical, it’s emotional too. We’re here to support you with empathy, understanding, and expert care.
Massage is more than relaxation — it’s a gentle act of kindness, compassion & care for your body and mind.
🌿 Why choose massage?
It helps your body release stress before it turns into pain.
It soothes anxiety and brings calm to a busy mind.
It encourages better sleep so you can truly rest.
It improves circulation, giving your body the energy it needs.
It’s a reminder that you matter too.
Let your shoulders drop, your thoughts soften, and your heart feel lighter. You deserve this moment of peace. 🌸

Neck muscle tension is often caused by poor posture, stress, or spending too long looking down at screens. Here are a few quick tips to help ease it:
1. Gentle stretches: Slowly tilt your head side to side and front and back, holding each for 10–15 seconds.
2. Heat therapy: A warm compress or shower helps loosen those tight neck muscles.
3. Massage: Slow circular motions from the base of your skull down to your shoulders.
4. Posture check: Roll your shoulders back, lift your chest, and bring your chin slightly in.
5. Relax & breathe: Extended Exhale Breathing - How to do it:
Inhale for 4 seconds, exhale for 6–8 seconds. Focus on releasing tension as you exhale.
Why it works:
A longer exhale signals the body to relax — perfect when you’re holding tension in your shoulders or neck.

Our feet carry us through everything — work, workouts, long days, and late nights. If they’re aching, here are a few simple ways to ease the tension at home:
✨ 1️⃣ Soak & Soothe – Try a warm foot bath with Epsom salts or essential oils to relax tired muscles.
✨ 2️⃣ Roll it out – Use a tennis ball or foot roller under your arch to release tight fascia and boost circulation.
✨ 3️⃣ Stretch – Gently pull your toes back toward your shin to open up the plantar fascia and calves.
✨ 4️⃣ Massage in circles – Apply gentle pressure with your thumbs, working from heel to toes.
✨ 5️⃣ Elevate & Rest – Pop those feet up for 10–15 minutes — it helps reduce swelling and refresh tired legs.
Show your feet some care — they deserve it!
And if the soreness just won’t ease, Vicki does an amazing feet and calves treatment or Head, Hands & Feet.

My Why? Why did I become a Remedial Massage Therapist....
I didn’t always know I wanted to be a massage therapist. Generally, I just went with whatever came my way, or should I say where my destiny directed me!! But if I take the trip down memory lane a pattern started to emerge from early adulthood.
As a child I was reserved, shy and quite scared. Personal interaction frightened the hell out of me. I can remember once at a friend’s sleep over, waking up in the middle of the night with the sweats and anxiety from being away from home. It’s not a time I look back on with fond memories.
It wasn’t until I found a passion for Taekwondo in my late teens, that I came out of my shell. And experienced such a miraculous change to my confidence and the way I saw the world. It was the beginning of a love for the body and what it can do both physically and mentally that lead me on my next path.
I threw everything I had into the art for almost 16 years, pushing and striving to go as far as I could, and with great success. Giving me the experiences to tackle the world with confidence, empathy, discipline and respect. During the peak time of my intense training, gave me great insight into what a personal trainer, massage therapist, physio, chiro all do, and I was intrigued.
Next was when I got married, adopted a gorgeous step-daughter, and had 2 crazy energetic but adorable boys!! Safe to say, that was to be the end of my all about me time, and sending me on to my next journey..
Then I had to find something to do that allowed me to be at home with my boys. It was no surprise to anyone when I became a Personal Trainer!!
With 5 solid years as a Personal Trainer, I gained invaluable experience which inhibited a high level of personal care, emotional support and physical consideration for client needs, injuries and struggles, and I loved it!! I ventured down the education path yet again with Nutrition, which was also amazing, but it was the body and it’s mechanics and how to manipulate the tissue for results that lit a fire!!
So, now that the boys are old enough to go to school, what was an ambitious girl to do!!!! Fitness was taking time away from them (early am & pm) so it was time to readjust. And quite frankly, I was kicking myself as to why I didn’t think of this sooner!!! I was going back to study and finally become that Remedial Massage Therapist I said I was going to be 15 years earlier.. and here I am at my next chapter, to help you!!
