Making our own taste-safe kinetic sand 🏖️✨

Digging, pouring, and creating with sand is fun and full of learning 🌈

Because it’s taste safe, little learners can explore freely while building communication skills 🙌🏼

Therapy goals we can work on with sand play:

🗣️ Functional communication: asking for help, more, or a turn, sharing ideas

👄 Sounds & words: boom, oh no!, crash!

🧠 Understanding language: following simple directions, learning words like in/on/under

🔢 Sequencing: first, next, last during play routines

👀 Joint attention: looking together, sharing focus

🎭 Pretend play: using figures to act out simple stories and actions

🌀 Sensory play: touching, exploring, calming the body

All while working on communication goals AND keeping play taste safe 💛
