On World Cancer Day, we honour those we’ve lost, stand alongside those living with cancer, and continue to raise awareness for better prevention, care and treatment.

This afternoon, staff at Benalla Health came together over an afternoon tea to mark World Cancer Day and reflect on this year’s theme, United by Unique.

Every cancer journey is different. World Cancer Day reminds us that behind every diagnosis is a person, and that it will take all of us, united, to create a future where care goes beyond the disease.

Together, we share the ambition to reduce the cancer burden, strengthen connections between healthcare providers, patients and communities, and ensure people affected by cancer can live longer, better lives.

Antenatal Classes
• 3-week program (3 sessions)
• Support and education for pregnancy, birth & early parenting

Early Pregnancy Class
• Single session for first trimester or those planning pregnancy
• Covers fitness, nutrition & body changes

Community Update – Benalla Health

Benalla Health is continuing to monitor local conditions and is working closely with emergency services to support the Benalla community and surrounding areas.

What you need to know:
• Health services remain open with additional safety measures
• Some in-home and community services may be temporarily adjusted
• Welfare checks are being carried out for clients in affected locations
• We remain in regular contact with emergency management agencies

Protect your health during heat and smoke:
• Drink water regularly and stay cool
• Keep windows and doors closed where possible
• Reduce time spent outdoors, especially if you have health concerns
