No one should ever be mistreated.

But if you are a support worker, this is your job — and harming or mistreating vulnerable people is not okay, ever.

This happens more than many of us realise. While we are glad safety nets exist and that bans are being issued, there are still huge gaps.

Too often, people with bans continue operating through others. That’s dangerous.

We need tighter rules, stronger checks, and more regular check-ins with staff.

We must keep fighting for the safety of our most vulnerable — they deserve better

Scary times across the state, and especially for the Bendigo region — including Harcourt, Ravenswood, Sutton Grange, Mount Alexander and surrounding areas. Our thoughts are with everyone affected.

Yesterday was a Catastrophic Fire Danger Day, and we want to sincerely thank our staff who continued to support participants in need throughout the day, working in extreme conditions of up to 43 degrees. Your commitment and care did not go unnoticed.

If you, or anyone you know, may be impacted by the fires and need assistance, please reach out. We are here to help in any way we can.

Please ensure you stay across regular updates by downloading the VicEmergency app. With some TV channels and radio stations currently unavailable, radio may be the most reliable source of information at this time.

Another Christmas hamper delivered in Maryborough, kindly delivered by our NDIS Client Services representative, Meg.
Included were gifts for a beautiful little boy, some thoughtful items for mum, and a gift card to help with Christmas Day lunch or dinner.

We also delivered another hamper today in Bendigo to a single parent who needed a little extra support this Christmas. With two children aged 4 and 8, My Village Carers was proud to help make their Christmas wishes come true by gifting each child a brand-new bike and helmet.

Spreading Christmas cheer. Helping those in need.
Community supporting community. 🎅
