We’re hiring a Human Resources Manager!

Golden City Support Services (GCSS) is looking for an experienced HR leader to help shape our people, culture, and compliance functions. If you're passionate about building strong teams, supporting staff wellbeing, and driving positive organisational culture, this could be your next step.

As our HR Manager, you’ll play a key role in:

🔸 Workforce planning and effective recruitment
🔸 Leading workplace investigations with fairness and integrity
🔸 Ensuring compliance across NDIS, DHS and sector standards
🔸 Providing expert HR and award interpretation advice
🔸 Supporting training, wellbeing, and staff development
🔸 Leading our HR, Rostering and Front of House teams

We’re looking for someone with:

✔ Strong knowledge of workplace legislation and the SCHADS Award
✔ Experience in HR leadership, ideally within community or disability services
✔ Skills in investigations, workforce planning, and people development
✔ Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business or a related discipline (desirable)

Community grows strongest when people genuinely connect and that’s exactly what Global Community Engagement Day is all about.

It highlights how much we can achieve when individuals, organisations, and local groups work together to create positive change.

For GCSS, community engagement is especially important in the disability space. When people with disability, their families, and support networks are actively included in community conversations, it leads to better understanding, stronger relationships, and more accessible, person centred outcomes.

GCSS was born out of the community coming together and now, almost 50 years later we still put people and community at the heart of everything we do.
This aligns directly with the day’s goal of building healthier, more connected communities through meaningful participation.

Small actions can make a real difference, whether that’s reaching out to someone, supporting a local initiative, or sharing what community means to you.

Changes to Supported Independent Living

From 1 July 2026, every Supported Independent Living (SIL) provider will be required to hold NDIS Quality and Safeguard Commission registration.

Golden City Support Services is already a registered provider, so our SIL supports will continue without interruption.

If you or someone you support is currently receiving SIL from a provider that isn’t registered, this upcoming change may influence your arrangements.
We currently have vacancies in a modern, accessible two-bedroom home in East Bendigo, featuring:

• Private bedrooms with ensuites, and multiple shared spaces
• Ceiling hoist and automated doors
• Convenient access to shops, health services and local recreation

High Physical Support available, with other SDA categories able to be explored.
