Our Chancery Lane Mural is nearly complete!

Have you been down to see it? Our guys have really succeeded at all steps of this project. That yellow is just the perfect colour for the laneway to bring a bit of joy and sunshine to the community 🌞😊

Last month Cherie made some artwork in celebration of NIADOC Week.

Cherie often uses her love of local events and national holidays to inspire her artwork, picking out different elements and bits of text to work into her design.

We always love seeing the finished piece with her beautiful handwriting and unique perspective!

Recently Rachel and Stacey had the absolute pleasure of visiting Arts Project Australia to meet their team, see their incredible studio, and explore some exciting possibilities for working together.

It was a great opportunity to discuss how both programs support their artists. It’s all about the artist and their voice, and supporting them to help discover their own creative path.

We’re to see some of our members head down to Melbourne to meet and create alongside their artists, share ideas, and spark a bit of professional connection and development. Who knows...maybe even a joint exhibition or two!

A huge thank you to the Arts Project Australia team for having us. We’re excited to see where this connection might take us.

DONUT artists have something very exciting on the horizon!

Trent has gessoed this HUGE canvas that was donated in preparation for a group exhibition at Shed Shaker in November!!

This is an exciting opportunity where our artists will be encouraged to work big and work bold - stay tuned for a save the date for the opening night. It's set to be a night of celebrating all the talent at DONUT Studios.

Sam is supported each week to explore acrylic painting, often working with references from Marvel and DC universes.

Sam paints expressively and chooses bold colours to create his action packed action figures 🦸‍♂️

Sam is only just getting started, we can't wait to see where his journey leads!

Meet Leo! 🎨✨

Leo is the newest member of our team and brings a whole lot of creative energy with him! A talented visual artist with a decade of national and international exhibitions under his belt, Leo’s also taught at university and worked as a creative coach for high school students. He’s passionate about painting, music, and supporting others to unlock their creative potential and we’re so excited to have him on board!
