Announcing confirmed speaker: Dr Kirby White.

Dr Kirby White is a Specialist General Practitioner from Bendigo Victoria. Her medical career is dedicated to supporting patients with obesity. Dr White is an advocate for obesity to be recognised as a significant chronic disease and her work focuses on medical and surgical treatments for weight loss. Dr White was a Research Scientist at St Vincent’s Institute and has published her work in internationally recognised journals. Her contribution to the field of STEM was recognised by toy company Mattel honouring Dr White among 5 other women globally as carer role models.

During the Covid-19 pandemic Dr White co-founded the project ‘Gowns For Doctors’ which produced over 7,000 reusable, sustainable medical gowns to protect doctors and nurses Australia wide. She was named Victoria’s Local Hero in the National Australia Day Awards and has used this platform to create awareness of sustainability of medical resources in rural and regional areas.

Representing Victoria as an Australia Day Ambassador it was lovely to see our Bendigo MP Jacinta Allan at Government House. We reflected on the Gowns for Doctors project and then discussed hats 🤠. Maybe a hats for doctors is in the making 😃

Gowns For Doctors have more gowns!!!

Our next wave of gown donation will commence tomorrow. This is for Australia Wide GP's and practice nurses.

Calling out to any GP's Australia wide who need washable reusable gowns! I have the most beautiful collection of gowns commercially made in Melbourne. These garments are heavy weight and will wash without creases. Each box comes with four pastel coloured gowns (one size fits all) and two exclusive Barbie Surprise and Delight gift packs for health care workers children. A way to say 'thank you' for everything you do for your community and the sacrifice you make away from your children 👶

This has been the most special Gowns packing session. are supporting the remote WA and NT regions recently hit with increasing cases. Many towns have solo GP's working under pressure. We are sending some love along with our beautiful gowns so show our support to

Many of the original Gowns For Doctors gowns made at the commencement of the pandemic are about to retire. It is a bitter sweet day for my favourite Flamingo 🦩 gown. This gown has been show cased across the world in many media articles and news. Today a small section is being removed for a small framed gown for the Governor General - The Honourable David Hurley who is flying to Bendigo this Friday to visit me. Kirby White

Another busy week packing Gowns for Victorian GP Clinics. We have reached over 750 boxes of gowns this week. What an incredible number!!! Our local Bendigo sewers have made some fabulous gowns in this batch. We are loving the colours. Thanks to Powers Country Express for transporting this PPE

These gowns are needed more than ever here in Victoria. We are blown away by the support of our community and the donations from so many businesses, associations, not for profit organisations! This is an enormous project and we couldn’t have achieved it without everyone’s support

We have supplied every GP clinic in rural and regional Victoria and we are now providing gowns anywhere in Victoria and also some parts of NSW. Any clinic in need who has doctors that don’t have gowns please contacts us.
