Spent a balmy five days in Sydney studying the Tung family acupuncture lineage with Henry McCann. A brilliant educator, author, musician and practitioner in areas of Chinese medicine we see little of here such as bleeding techniques. I’m very excited to bring more cohesive reasoning and Tung approaches into my clinic. Expect fewer needles and great results.

Eat more whole foods folks!
Fresh, simple, local, seasonal.
Feed your kids well.
Your taste buds will acclimatise with time and you will begin to appreciate the joy of real, nutritious food and it’s impact on your health.

Our flowering garden has peaked - but now I get to swoon over the first flush of enormous, delicately fragrant, spring roses!
My delight is tempered by a touch of hayfever on this awfully blustery day.
If you have to be outdoors, protect your head and neck with a scarf.
Keep your neck, nose and ears covered to stop the wind from scattering your immune defences at skin/mucous membrane level, causing acute seasonal illnesses.

In Chinese medicine we encourage eating warm, cooked foods in order to conserve energy and aid digestion. When you eat cold and raw foods it requires more input from your system to start the process of digestion, especially in winter! What about ice cream? It’s a hard no.
