Dione (or Dee for short) is a Naturopath in Bendigo offering consultations both from her clinic space at 7 Sommerville Street Flora Hill, as part of the Allied Health Collective team and online. Dee has over 15 years industry experience having started working in the industry back in 2008 at a Health food store in Melbourne. She launched her first clinical practice on the Gold Coast in 2013 and has since relocated to Bendigo to be closer to family. Over Dee's career, she has been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work with a number of leading brands, developing their formulations drawing on her naturopathic knowledge.

It’s 2016, I had graduated a few years earlier and I was living in QLD, working at lifespace, planting the seeds of my knowledge on the microbiome and gut health. I was having a great time on adventures and exploring the country.
 Later that year I was called in to have a tonsillectomy due to their chronic enlarged size that was restricting airways.

Unfortunately, I had a few complications including a serious post-operative haemorrhage that was almost fatal (thankful for the Gold Coast University hospital for saving my life) and the lovely people we were staying with at Splendour in the grass.

I remember the ambulance ride deciding that if I made it out on the other side, I was going move back home to Melbourne and focus on what I want instead of living my life to please others.

Shortly after, I adopted Maxy, my furbaby and packed my bags to start a new life.

As a mum of two, I know how easy it is to put yourself last.
 I also know the anxiety that can come with bringing little ones along because let’s be honest, you never quite know which version of them you’re getting that day 🤍

Please know that you and your family are always welcome here. We will do everything we can to accommodate you, and if getting out of the house feels like too much, we can always switch to online or Telehealth.
 Your care matters too 💕

A very festive broccoli salad ✨🥦🥗

A delicious, easy side that brings all the cheer without sacrificing nourishment. Crunchy, creamy, a little sweet and perfect for Christmas lunch this year.

Ingredients -1 small head of broccoli, finely chopped (about 1cm pieces) -1 medium green apple, finely diced (core removed) -½ medium red onion, finely diced -100g slivered almonds, lightly toasted -100g dried cranberries
-150g good-fat mayo

Method Mix everything together until well combined just before serving.

Notes • Keeps in the fridge for up to 2 days • Almonds may lose some crunch over time, so add fresh if needed
Bright, festive, and seriously moreish 🎄🥗

Boycotting Tassie salmon but still want those good quality omegas? 🐟✨

Lately I’ve been alternating between barramundi, wild caught Alaskan sockeye, King George whiting, prawns, and the occasional tuna. We aim for fish twice a week or more as part of our anti-inflammatory Mediterranean style diet.

Swipe across to see my favourite tuna, packed in 100% pure olive oil and stored in glass, not plastic lined cans. 💛

One of my go-to meals, veggie packed fish cakes. They’re tasty, kid-friendly, and perfect for using up leftover veggies. 👇

Ingredients: 🥔 3 boiled potatoes 🧅 1/2 brown onion, chopped 🧄 1 clove garlic, crushed 🌶️ 1/4 red capsicum, finely diced 🥕 1 grated carrot 🍋 Zest of 1/2 lemon 🌿 Small handful of fresh parsley, chopped 🧂 Pinch of pepper 🥚 1 egg, to bind

Mix everything well with your hands and form into patties of any size you like. Bake at 180°C for about 30 minutes, or until lightly golden.

Enjoy hot or cold, they’re an easy, nourishing meal to pop on a platter and a great way to clean out the fridge. 😍🙌
