💗 Supporting Breast Health in Our Community

Western District Health Service (WDHS) in Hamilton is rallying community support to raise funds for a new mammogram machine, ensuring women across our region have access to the best possible breast screening services.

At Bendigo Radiology’s Hamilton clinic, Radiographer Caroline Donnelly is a proud supporter of the campaign. With over two decades of experience in medical imaging, Caroline is passionate about breast health education and making sure women know the importance of regular screening.

WDHS serves a wide rural area, with some women travelling more than 100km for breast screening. This new equipment will bring peace of mind to local women, helping to detect changes earlier and provide the same high-quality care you’d find in metropolitan areas.

Our sonographers recently participated in a dedicated Paediatric Education Evening with Sara Kernick, Chief Sonographer at the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne. With over 20 years of experience, Sara shared her expertise in scanning infants and children, covering techniques to achieve high-quality diagnostic exams while reducing anxiety for young patients and their families.

This hands-on training, kindly sponsored by GE Healthcare, focused on ultrasound imaging of hips, heads, and spines in babies.
