We Are Hiring in Elwood, Melbourne 🧡💜

We are currently seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to support a female participant in her 20's with community access every week on the following days and times, ongoing:

Mondays, 3 to 3.5 hours (exact times to be determined)
Wednesdays, 3 to 3.5 hours (exact times to be determined)

This would suit someone who lives close to Elwood and has either a Cert III Individual Support or Cert IV Disability.

👂✨ Tomorrow - March 3 is World Hearing Day 2026!

This year’s theme, “From communities to classrooms: hearing care for all children,” highlights the vital role hearing plays in every stage of a child’s life - from speech and language development to learning, social connection and emotional wellbeing.

To mark World Hearing Day, Audiology Australia invites parents and carers to a free public webinar led by Audiology Australia President, Lia Traves.

AudA has joined the global movement by organising a free webinar for Australian parents and carers, “Helping Parents Understand Children’s Hearing and Hearing Checks”, on 3 March.

Rare Disease Day is observed on the last day of February each year to raise awareness of rare diseases and to advocate for improved access to diagnosis, treatment, care, and medical representation for individuals and families affected.

The date was chosen deliberately - in leap years, it falls on February 29, the rarest date of the year — symbolising the uniqueness and rarity of these conditions. 🦓

On Rare Disease Day - and every day - we stand with the rare disease community. Greater awareness leads to earlier diagnosis, better support, stronger research, and more compassionate communities.

Let’s listen, learn, and advocate. Because no one should have to fight their battles alone. 💜🧡

Our very first All Abilities Dance Session on Friday afternoon was an absolute hit! 💃🕺

We are beyond excited to see this beautiful project come to life -and the smiles in these photos say it all!

This program in partnership with The Entertainers Performing Arts Studio is such an incredible initiative, and we’re so proud to have it up and running. 💜🧡
