๐ŸŒŸ Weโ€™re Hiring: Paediatric Speech Pathologist ๐ŸŒŸ
๐Ÿ“ Ready Set Go Allied Health

Full Time

At Ready Set Go Allied Health, weโ€™re a small, passionate team with big hearts for helping kids (and their families) thrive. Weโ€™re on the lookout for a paediatric speech pathologist who shares our genuine love for what we do, values family-centred care, and is always keen to keep learning and growing in their practice.

Are you an energetic and passionate Paediatric Speech Pathologist who loves making a difference in childrenโ€™s lives? Weโ€™re looking for someone who brings fun, creativity and playfulness to their work, while supporting children to achieve their communication goals. In this fast- changing and ever evolving space, we need someone who is flexible, proactive and confident in thinking on their feet, and ready to adapt to new situations and approaches. If you thrive on building strong connections with children and families, enjoy working in a collaborative and supportive team and can turn therapy into a positive, engaging experience, weโ€™d love to hear from you!

What weโ€™re all about:

โ€ข We team up with families to support their goals โ€“ because they know their child best.
โ€ข We believe therapy should be fun, flexible, and full of heart.
โ€ข We're constantly learning โ€“ from our clients, from each other, and from new research โ€“ because better understanding leads to better outcomes.
โ€ข We support each other as humans first, clinicians second.

About You:

โ€ข You love working with children and connecting with their families.
โ€ข Youโ€™re either experienced in paeds or keen to build your skills in this area. New Graduates are encouraged to apply.
โ€ข Youโ€™re open, curious, and never finished learning.
โ€ข You value a workplace where youโ€™re encouraged to be yourself and have a voice.

What we offer:

โ€ข A supportive, down-to-earth team that genuinely cares.
โ€ข Ongoing professional development and mentoring โ€“ we value internal and external PD and mentoring. Mentoring frequency will depend on experience.
โ€ข Access to a range of clinical resources and assessments.
โ€ข Flexible work options that support your life outside of work.
โ€ข The chance to make a real difference in childrenโ€™s lives, every single day.
โ€ข A beautiful clinic that is perfect for children โ€“ a place to play, learn, grown and feel at home. We also have a beautiful group space, a fully equipped kitchen and an outdoor activity space.

Requirements:

โ€ข A Bachelorโ€™s degree in Speech Pathology (or equivalent) and membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
โ€ข You have access to your own vehicle and hold a current Australian Driverโ€™s Licence.
โ€ข Current Working with Children Check (WWCC), NDIS Worker Screening, and National Police Check.
โ€ข Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

How to Apply:

If this sounds like your kind of place, weโ€™d love to hear from you!

Send your resume and cover letter to alice@readysetgoalliedhealth.com.au

โœจ Sparkles to celebrate a wonderful Book Week! โœจ

We finished the week with some Dr Seuss and want to share some of our favourite Dr Seuss quotes that celebrate our love of reading ๐Ÿ“š

โ€œYouโ€™re never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child.โ€

โ€œThe more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places youโ€™ll go.โ€

We hope everyone had a wonderful Book Week, we are already excited for it to return in 2026 ๐Ÿ™Š๐Ÿฅฐ

Butโ€ฆ. the celebrations donโ€™t end there, itโ€™s Speech Pathology Week next week ๐Ÿฅณ๐ŸŽ‰

We are so excited to be celebrating book week, with the 2025 theme "Book an Adventure"! ๐Ÿž๏ธ ๐Ÿš€ ๐Ÿ“š
We have been busy decorating the clinic with all things 'books' and cannot wait to share in the fun that Book Week brings each year.

๐Ÿง™โ€โ™€๏ธโœจ Holiday Group: "Room on the Broom" โœจ๐Ÿงน

Our second school holiday group was all about the classic book 'Room on the Broom' and included lots of magic sprinkled through our language and social communication activities.

๐Ÿ”„ Sequencing โ€“ Identifying the beginning, middle, and end of the story to build narrative structure. We made this extra fun by creating our own 'broomsticks' and sticking the characters on in order like the book.
๐Ÿง  Making Predictions โ€“ Using context clues and prior knowledge to anticipate what might happen next. Check out the awesome predictions and prior knowledge shared by our group members in the pictures. It was so great to use our wonderful outdoor space to enjoy the mess of our special 'Potion'.
๐Ÿ‘‚ Following Directions โ€“ Following instructions and taking turns to create sparkly delicious star shaped biscuits. All group members discussed how to share to make it fair.
๐Ÿ“˜ Story comprehension - Discussing follow up points and relating this to personal experiences. Our group members shared some times where they have needed help, what it feels like to help others and when they have lost a special item of their own.

As we do for all our groups, we ensure a holistic approach to helping meet each child's goals and provide a personalised summary after each therapy group โœ๏ธ

We had a wonderful afternoon of craft, discussions, creations and wishes ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ”ฎ๐Ÿงน

โœจ Welcome to Mel's Room โœจ

Weโ€™re so excited to share different rooms in our new space โ€” thoughtfully designed to feel safe, calm, and welcoming, a place that doesn't feel clinical. We are so lucky to have such a beautiful space and we want you to feel right at home so you can be your true authentic self when you are with us. ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒธโ˜€๏ธ We think Mel's room does just that ๐Ÿฅฐ

Mel is our wonderful Allied Health Assistant and soon to be Developmental Educator - yep she is currently completing her final placement and will be working with us as a qualified Developmental Educator in 2026.

So, what is Developmental Education? โ“๐Ÿ“š
Developmental Educators are allied health professionals who specialise in disability. Developmental Educators are often referred to as DEs. DEs focus on building functional, social, and daily living skills, increasing independence and confidence and enhancing social inclusion, identity and sense of self.

As a DE, Mel will work with individuals and their families/ parents/guardians, to build functional life skills (including social, communication, self- care, daily living and well- being of the young people she works with.

DEs provide holistic therapeutic and assessment services under the NDIS Capacity Building - Improved Daily Living - Developmental Educator and Early Childhood Intervention Professional - Developmental Educator (the same bucket of funding as other clinician's like OTs and SPs).

We are super excited for Mel to finish her last placement and can't wait to watch her be an incredible DE! ๐ŸŒŸ
