Physical, mental and emotional stress is stored within the nervous system until we have the capacity to process it. The autonomic nervous system (fight/flight response) then becomes hyperactivated, while the parasympathetic nervous system (rest/digest/heal response) becomes under activated. This results in a body that stores a greater amount of stress than
it can adequately process. We can experience symptoms such as anxiety, mood swings, depression, insomnia, panic attacks, phobias/paranoia, muscular tension, digestive issues, weight gain/loss, hormonal imbalances/reproductive issues, metabolic disorders, learning difficulties, addictions, memory loss, neural complaints and a lack of vitality. Erica has been practising Holistic Kinesiology in clinic since 2003, witnessing clients heal, find joy and grow beyond previous limitations. She studied Biological Sciences at The University of Melbourne, and also has a Diploma of Health Sciences in Holistic Kinesiology from The Australian College of Complementary Medicine, where she later lectured in anatomy, physiology and metaphysical sciences. She has an Advanced Certificate in Nutrition and Exercise Therapy specialising in stress, anxiety and depression, and is currently undertaking her Bachelor of Naturopathy and Nutritional Medicine. Erica assists the body's ability to process and heal by gently retraining the nervous system and removing the body's adaptations to the original stress. Treatments connect intuively, whilst maintaining a solid scientific framework. Techniques such as acupressure, nutrition and exercise coaching, neuro-linguistic programming, counselling, flower essence therapy, chakra healing, aromatherapy and aura soma are used to allow the body to release and process the stored stress. As the body finds balance once again, we become more peaceful, loving, happier and less impacted by external stress triggers. Our health, immunity, digestion and physical stamina improve as our body develops greater capacity to self regulate and naturally process stress within the nervous system.
