Do you love what you do and want to make a difference? Lifely is looking for a passionate Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) 2IC to join our innovative, high-intensity OSHC program, supporting children with disabilities at Sunbury and Macedon Ranges Specialist School.

📍 Location: Sunbury & Macedon Ranges, VIC (on-site)
📅 Hours: Permanent part-time
💰 Pay: SCHADS Award Level 3.1 – $38.65/hr + salary packaging
📚 Extensive induction and ongoing support provided
🆔 Job ID: SMR2

✨ About the role
As the OSHC 2IC, you’ll play a key role supporting the Site Coordinator and the day-to-day delivery of the OSHC program. You’ll help supervise staff, engage children in fun and meaningful activities, and ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. No two days are the same.

🕒 Hours and responsibilities include:
✅ After-school care (Monday–Friday): Directly supervising staff and children from 2 pm to 6 pm
✅ School holiday care (Monday–Friday): Directly supervising staff and children from 9 am to 5 pm, or until the last child is collected

🌱 About you:
✅ Working towards or completed a recognised ACECQA qualification
✅ Experience in child services, education, or disability (leadership aspirations encouraged)
✅ Passion for child development and inclusive education
✅ Strong ethics, adaptability, and commitment to child safety

Very hot weather is expected over the coming days. Extreme heat can affect your health, especially if you have a pre-existing health condition.

To stay safe:
💧 Drink water often, even if you are not thirsty
❄️ Keep cool with fans, air conditioning or cool showers
⏰ Avoid going out during the hottest part of the day
📞 Check in with family, friends or neighbours
🤝 Ask for help or changes to your supports if needed

🌈 Clare’s Confidence is Growing Every Day! 🌟

Clare enjoys overnight out-of-home support with Lifely each fortnight, and she’s making incredible progress as she continues to build skills that support her independence.

During her stays, Clare has been working toward important daily living goals, including:
🛒 Shopping for the evening meal
🥕 Preparing and cooking dinner
🧹 Completing household tasks like washing the dishes, changing bedding and taking out the bins

As we settle into the new year, it’s a great time to reflect on goals and the positive changes we want to keep building toward 🎯 Clare is thriving. Her confidence continues to grow, her independence is blossoming 🌱 and she is carrying her goals forward with determination and pride.

🎡 Big Smiles and Big Fun at Luna Park! 🎟️

What a fantastic day out for Matt, Tori, Keelie, Lauren, Peter, Hailea and Deb as they headed off on an exciting adventure to the iconic Luna Park Melbourne. Supported by the Lifely team, everyone was able to enjoy the day in their own way 💛

Participants embraced the thrill of the rides 🎢, enjoyed arcade games 🕹️, and soaked up the vibrant carnival atmosphere 🎠

It was wonderful to see people step outside their comfort zones, building confidence and making positive steps towards greater independence 💪

💙 Bill’s Back on His Feet and Back in the Community! 🌻

After spending some time in hospital, seeing Bill out and about again is a truly amazing achievement. His smile says it all. 🙂

With the support of his Lifely Community Support Worker, Bill has been reconnecting with his everyday routines and enjoying his community. 🛒 He has ticked off his grocery shopping, soaked up some sunshine 🌤️, and enjoyed time at home in a safe and comfortable space 🏡.

These experiences show the important role everyday routines play in supporting independence, confidence, and wellbeing. 💫
