My main focus in clinic is supporting fertility, pregnancy and hormonal health concerns including PCOS, endometriosis and menopausal symptoms. I am a strong advocate for using an integrative approach to health care and this aids in providing an individually tailored treatment plan with each of my patients. I am an AHPRA registered Acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine Herbalist and have also completed a masters in Reproductive Medicine through the University of NSW, which gave me the most up-to-date evidence based research on current health issues and assisted fertility treatments.

Welcome to my new clinic! 👋🏼
It’s been quite a few months in the making, but I am so thrilled to announce I am opening my books again down in Geelong! Starting Thursdays, and with a fresh new focus on supporting the transition through menopause and beyond.

With some exceptional connections that have made over the last few weeks/ months with other health care professionals around Geelong, it certainly feels like the community is rallying together to deliver the best support for menopause, and all the things that come with that.

A particular focus of mine will be patients with medically induced menopause, or those that can’t take menopause hormone therapy, however this isn’t about needing to pick a modality and the collaborative support around your health is always at the forefront of my practice! Please reach out if you have any questions, otherwise the booking link is live in the link in my bio for both in clinic and online appointments.
See you soon ✨

I’m was also invited to speak at the menopause event today for the Barwon health Family practice menopause day. 120 women and those assigned female at birth, listened to an 8 guest speakers - myself gp’s, a psychiatrist, psychologist, physiotherapists, a sexologist, on/gynae, and nurse all offered their perspective and professional support when it came to all things menopause. The ability to have these open conversations now is huge, and many many questions were answered. A very special event and something I was incredibly honoured to be a part of. ✨

This weekend I was incredibly honoured to be invited as part of a health care speaking panel for a Share the Dignitea fundraising event in Geelong this Saturday. The event was hosted by Martine from another incredible foundation - . With a very dedicated team behind Martine, and over 80 women and those assigned female at birth attendees, we were lucky enough to hear the original story of how Share the Dignity was born, from non other than Rochelle, the founder, herself, as well as the development of how many lives these foundations are changing for their ‘It’s in the bag’ initiative. These are bags that are donated and packed around Australia and distributed to those displaced from homes due to homelessness and domestic violence, and who don’t have access to basic health care products like pads, tampons or bathroom products, and instead would resort to things like socks or newspaper! The other panelists from Menopause Geelong and Physio Pod also gave insightful advice and support for those suffering with menopausal symptoms and supporting our pelvic floor. If you haven’t heard of Share the dignity I invite you to check out the page. The statistics on the thousands of women who are in need of basic sanitary items is disturbing, and its work like this that is so needed 💜

This evening I was invited to join City Fertility for a tour of their new facilities in Melbourne, followed by a presentation of their fabulous services they offer. Everyone was clearly very passionate about the work and services they provide and I’m excited to share some of these new learnings in clinic. Occasionally I refer my own patients here for s***m analysis and/or DNA fragmentation testing. If this is something you are interested in understanding more about, please feel free to send me a DM ✨

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗖𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗥...

We know that hair loss is often part of chemotherapy treatment, but It's hard to imagine what it must be like to have your hair fall out... until it actually does. For me, it was there, and then one morning in the shower it felt like my head just 'let it go'. It wasn't all my hair, but in the shower I felt like I must have lost it all. What I actually had left covered enough of my scalp that it wasn't 'that noticeable', yet. (The rest was still yet to come.) I remember telling my close friends and family that I lost my hair, and I think they just imagined it was like when you clear the shower plug and that gross clump. It wasn't until I showed them this photo that the reality of what was happening to me was hitting home.

The cold cap that Bendigo Health Foundation will purchase with the funds raised during this Dry July aims to prevent this significant hair loss from happening. I know people that have used this technology and had wonderful results! The cold cap cools your head (to about 5 degrees!), trying to reduce the amount of chemotherapy that makes its way around the scalp and reduce its effects on hair loss. How exciting knowing that your donations will go to helping bring this machine to Bendigo!
Thank you for your donations! This a significant investment will help many people in the future.

𝗪𝗘𝗟𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘 👋

Hi! I'm Suzi, a doctor of Chinese medicine and an integrative women's health practitioner. I help people with a range of hormonal health concerns including supporting women with PCOS symptoms, painful periods/ endometriosis symptoms or perimenopausal and menopause symptoms.

I also help women and couples who are wanting support with their fertility, assisted reproductive journey, or pregnancy and postpartum support. I have a comprehensive and personalised approach in addressing hormonal health, taking into consideration my patient's experiences, emotions and concerns.

My background is an AHPRA registered doctor of Chinese Medicine, and a masters from UNSW in reproductive medicine. Combined, these degrees allow me to provide a integrative perspective on health issues.

An initial consultation with me will likely include a thorough assessment of your medical history. I may ask questions about the menstrual cycle, symptoms, lifestyle, and previous treatments you may have undergone. I may also request any blood tests or scans that will help provide a greater overview of your medical history. Treatment strategies may include Acupuncutre, herbal medicine, supplements, lifestyle advice according to Chinese medicine principles, or we may need to gain additional information, including pathology testing, other data collection, or a referral to another health care provider.

As a strong advocate for integrative health care. My main focus is on the health outcome you want to achieve, discussing all the options that are available to you and taking into consideration the treatment strategies that are important to you. I am a collaborative practitioner and look forward to working with your other health care providers as needed. My overall aim is to support you in making fully informed decisions about your health care. ✨
