This week we’re celebrating International Nuclear Medicine Week 💙

If you’ve ever had a PET scan, it’s part of nuclear medicine - advanced imaging that shows how your body is working, not just what it looks like. It helps doctors detect and monitor conditions like cancer, heart disease, neurological disorders as well as a variety of other physiological processes.

At South Coast Radiology, we’re proud to be the largest provider of Nuclear Medicine and PET scans on the Gold Coast, helping patients and doctors get answers with remarkable sensitivity. All our PET scans are bulk billed for patients who meet Medicare criteria. With multiple Nuclear Medicine sites across the Gold Coast, we’re here to make advanced care more convenient and accessible for our community.

Nuclear Medicine doesn't just diagnose - it can also be used in treatments such as radioactive Prostate Cancer therapy, Neuroendocrine Tumour therapy, thyroid therapy and non-surgical skin cancer therapy, improving lives every day.

This Monday is a public holiday for the King’s Birthday in QLD and Labour Day in NSW.

All South Coast Radiology clinics will be closed, except the following locations:
• Benowa – (07) 5616 8930 | 8am–4pm | MRI only (appointment required)
• John Flynn Hospital – (07) 5598 0400 | 7:30am–4pm | MRI only (appointment required)
• Pindara Private Hospital – (07) 5597 0677 | All Emergency Department imaging

These aren’t just numbers. They’re our mothers, partners, friends, colleagues 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦.

With Breast Cancer Awareness Month around the corner, it’s time to shine a light on early detection.
Chat to your doctor if you notice symptoms like a lump, pain, itch, ni**le discharge or dimpling, or if you’re concerned about your breast health.

💗 For the whole of October, we'll be donating $5 for every mammogram at any of our South Coast Radiology sites. Proceeds will go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation to support vital research.

Mammograms matter. Early detection saves lives.
