What a great quote and sentiment.
Posted • Watching this year’s Olympics was nothing short of inspiring, and one athlete who particularly stood out to me was Jemima Montag. After winning bronze in the Women’s 20km Race Walk, she shared something that has stuck with me.
In a recent interview, Jemima reflected on her journey with these words: “I’m willing to give this a crack, and if it doesn’t happen, the sun will rise tomorrow.”
Her perspective is a beautiful reminder that our worth isn’t solely determined by medals or victories. It’s about being 1% better than we were yesterday and understanding that our value isn’t tied to a single achievement.
Even if you didn’t hit a specific goal, every step you take towards it deserves celebration. Because, like Jemima says, the sun will rise tomorrow, and your worth is intrinsic, not defined by a win.
Let’s take a moment to celebrate every effort and progress, no matter how big or small. Remember, your journey is about continuous growth and self-compassion.
Share this as a reminder to others.
