We have officially re branded 🙌🏼

Even though this re-brand is due to new regulations from the TGA, I’m actually thankful that it happened as I’d felt for a while I’d outgrown The Natural Injector.

The new name is clinical and direct… exactly like the experience you have with me as your nurse 💁🏽‍♀️

As you may or may not have noticed, I have been super quiet on this platform over the past few weeks as I’ve been working on getting my head around the new advertising laws released by the TGA.

These laws will change the way you guys access and experience my business online but they do not change your experience within the clinic.

These new laws have resulted in the following changes in order to be compliant:

- My business trading name has now been rebranded due to originally containing the word “injector” which is no longer allowed. I will be announcing the new brand shortly

- Before & afters will be reduced to only include results that do not directly encourage/promote the use of certain medications that require a script. For example, you will no longer be seeing lip filler before and afters.

- My online booking system has been changed to only allow consultations to be booked, rather than specific treatments. The TGA does not want patients being able to book themselves into specific treatments prior to having a consultation.

- Specific words such as “anti wrinkle” and “dermal filler” will no longer be used. We can only talk about the consultations we provide. For example, we can say that we provide consultations for wrinkle reducing treatments rather than focusing on the specific treatment itself.

There are a few other changes however the ones mentioned above are the most important.

We are business as usual behind the wall of social media. I know there might be a lot of confusion going forward so please reach out if you have any questions or need help with future bookings.

Treatment: Perioral augmentation that involved the lips, chin shadow & mental crease.

Patient concern: Lack of volume in the lips

What I saw:
- Dehydrated lips which we last treated around 12 months ago so we did not need a super thick product that would add too much volume. I opted for a thinner, more hydrating product that still had enough strength to provide an increase in volume but not too much that it would look over done
- Deep line running horizontal across the middle of her chin a few cm down from her bottom lip. This is often referred to as the “mental crease”
- Chin shadowing

As we did not use all of the product in the lips, we utilised the remaining amount in the chin shadow & mental crease. As both of these areas received a small amount from what was left over, there is still a slight deficit remaining that would require further product to correct.

Risks: bleeding, bruising, swelling, infection both within a few days or delayed, and in rare cases a vascular occlusion.

Contraindications: Keloid scarring, active infection in the treatment area, pregnant, breastfeeding or planning to be pregnant and any allergies to bees or numbing agents such as lidocaine.

Aftercare: no rubbing/touching the treatment area, applying makeup, vigorous exercise, drinking alcohol or taking anti inflammatories 24 hours. It is also encouraged to ice the area to help reduce swelling.

As we come into the new year, there will be some changes made to a few policies within the clinic. These changes are being made to allow for a seamless experience at The Natural Injector.

All treatment deposits will be increasing to reflect the time that is needed of that specific treatment. The longer the appointment time, the larger the deposit that is required to secure it. If you would like to know the specific cost increase, it is reflected in my booking system under each individual service.

All deposits are non-refundable and must be paid 48 hours prior to your appointment. If the deposit is not paid before this timeframe, you risk the appointment being cancelled. For example, if another client requests your appointment time and they can pay the deposit, they will be given priority.

We are increasing our cancellation/rescheduling policy from 24 hours notice to 48 hours. If you cancel/reschedule within 48 hours you will forfeit the deposit.

I understand that things come up in life that are out of our control, however, in order for me to be fair to everyone trying to get appointments, these policy updates needed to be implemented. Under certain extenuating circumstances, such as you or someone you are a carer for is sick, the deposit can remain on your file as a credit if a medical certificate is provided.

Each of these policy changes are necessary to reflect the high standard in which I run the clinic. I pride myself in giving clients an excellent experience at The Natural Injector which would not be possible without your understanding and support of these updates, so thank you!

I thought it would be a good time to reintroduce myself to all my new clients/followers that have joined this page since I opened my new place back in July last year!

My name is Tayla, I am 27 years old and the founder of The Natural Injector. I am going into my 4th year in cosmetics and 7th year as a nurse overall. I started my career in forensic psych nursing but quickly discovered cosmetics and fell in love! It was the artistry of cosmetics that initially drew me in but it is now the complexity of this area of nursing and the patient relationships that have kept me, quite honestly, obsessed with my job.

I have a passion for overall facial rejuvenation that is safe and natural looking. Your safety is my number one priority, always.

My dream is to be one of the top injectors in Australia for full face augmentation and to be a nurse leader in ultrasound guided injections to improve safety.

I feel so lucky that I found a career that I truly adore and I couldn’t do it without you guys putting your trust in me, so thank you!
