Today marks 20 years since the devastating 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami. After witnessing images of the destruction, Dr Quintus DeZylva and colleagues created AUSLMAT to help restore medical care in the hardest hit areas. In the 20 years since, AUSLMAT has sent over AUD $10 million of medical supplies and equipment to hospitals across Sri Lanka.

We would like to sincerely thank all of the people who have donated, supported or volunteered over the last 20 years. With your continued support, we hope to continue improving medical services across Sri Lanka well nto the future.

The AUSLMAT team visited Kanthale Base Hospital, a hospital in the Eastern province of Sri Lanka on the 13th of August.

AUSLMAT donated a Neonatal C-PAP machine worth AUD 20,000 to this hospital during COVID times. It is so very rewarding to go back and see how donations like this save innocent lives in our Motherland.

We are currently raising funds to purchase more neonatal C-PAP machines and ventilators for other remote hospitals in Sri Lanka.

AUSLMAT have pledged to purchase two cardiac monitors, which are critically needed by the hospital.

We thank you for your ongoing generosity, and hope that you continue to support these worthy causes!

Make a donation before EOFY to one of AUSLMAT's worthy causes to uplift the health and well-being of Sri Lankans in need!

You can contribute by:

✅Sponsoring a child for just AUD 120 in the remote Tissamaharama region to help keep children in school

✅ Donating to purchase critically-needed medical equipment to save lives

Thanks to your incredible generosity, we have been able to donate resuscitation equipment, infant warmers, incubators and cardiac monitors to the Dehiattakandiya Neonatal Ward.
Further funds are required in order to purchase a ventilator.

Please click on the "DONATE" button below, or through our website https://auslmat.org, if you wish to contribute.

Thank you for your generous support!
