❤️🖤💛 HEART WEEK (4–10 May 2026) ❤️🖤💛

Our hearts are strong, but it’s important we look after them. Every 4 minutes, someone in Australia has a heart attack or stroke — knowing your risk can help keep you, your family, and community strong.

This Heart Week, the Heart Foundation is encouraging mob to check in with their GP for a Heart Health Check.

🫀 It’s a simple check that can help prevent serious illness
🫀 Keep yourself strong for your family and community
🫀 Stay deadly and don’t miss a beat

Pop in, have a yarn with your GP, and take that step for your health.

📅 Book your Heart Health Check today

Today we reflect on the legacy of the Bringing Them Home Report and what it continues to mean for Australia in 2026.

This report gave voice to the experiences of the Stolen Generations—Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children who were forcibly removed from their families. It was a powerful call for truth, healing, and justice.

Almost three decades later, its message still matters. Acknowledging the past is not about dwelling in it—it’s about learning, listening, and walking forward together with respect and understanding.

We honour the strength of survivors, their families, and communities. We recognise that reconciliation is ongoing, and that real change requires action, not just words.

Let’s continue to listen, learn, and stand together. 🖤💛❤️

You'll begin to notice the break in the really hot weather, as the change of season is of cool nights.

The banksias start to display their flowers, becoming a nectar food source for many small mammals and birds.
